I to just upgraded to the Netgear N600 router. No problem with my iMac or 3 Roku boxes in three different rooms, but would not connect to my 22inch Vizio WiFi in the kitchen even though it could see the signal. After 3 days looking on the net, I gave the guest setup on the router a try. It worked! the Vizio sees both signals. Just select the Netgear "guest" and enter the password you set it up with. Works like a charm.

Hi, well this is a little odd to say the least, I must wonder though if indeed the router is actually transmitting on the 5GHz band at all? I say this as you explain that NONE of your devices will "See" the Routers transmissions.
The TV, & Blu-ray devices being new, should indeed work, and one would expect that if it was working, that one of the devices would at least "See" its transmissions.
I think that first you need to establish that it is actually transmitting? find a way to establish this, perhaps a friend or acquaintance may have a PC, or device that is known to work and receive 5GHz, use that equipment to test. We must establish a "Known Good",otherwise we end up going round in circles.
Most WiFi devices, (Modem Router etc) are Default, 2.4GHz and to be able to work with the 5GHz band, the devices concerned must specifically have inbuilt 5GHz and have it enabled, sometimes it is often disabled by default, so you need to check that too? To this end I have given you a link, below, for your user manual to check.
Also you need to specifically check what "Channel" the router is on, and check on the other devices too, that CAN work with that band, and make sure they are also on the same channel too.
