Try this. I own two D50's.
Move the settings to manual on the dial and the lens.
Take out the lens
Take two pictures.
Replace the lens.
Move to automatic position on the dial.
Hopefully the error has gone away.

SOURCE: The following is not a battery problem and the

Your camera has a lens error. This is such a common fault that I hope you don't mind me pasting my stock generic answer below. No point in reinventing the wheel!

Stuck lenses are probably the most common reason that compact digital cameras get thrown away, but there's a fair chance of recovering use of your camera again

The fault is commonly caused by dirt or grit blocking the mechanism, or due to it having suffered a recent fall. Another common cause is that the camera was in a pocket or bag and the power button accidentally activated and tried to open the lens against resistance. The mechanism may have simply become dislodged or there may be parts which have broken.

If your camera is still under warranty and has definitely not been subject to misuse then contact the Casio service department in your country to find out about a free repair. If the warranty has expired though a professional repair will far exceed the cost of replacing your camera. You will therefore have nothing to lose by trying to fix this yourself.

Please click here and you will be taken to an excellent article provided by the Camera Repair website. For the most part, you'll be guided on how to physically manipulate your camera to try and clear the fault.

If the link doesn't work then cut and paste the following address into your browser:-

Good luck, I hope you manage to use this information to fix your camera. Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided for you.

Nikon s6300 won't turn on

Coolpix Cameras are tricky to use with chargers. I will assume your USB Charger EH-69P is 100 - 240V 50/60 Hz so it CAN work in many places around the world with an adapter. Do not go over 240V or you could damage it.

These cameras like to have the power supply connected when it is on to charge - meaning if you have it connected and you plug the charger in the wall it will NOT charge. So if you plug the charger in the wall first and then plug the cable in the camera it will work. The camera is actually ON when it charges and I never REMOVE the memory card when it is ON.

When you have a dead battery. Plug the camera in and make sure the ON LED lights and the Charge LED flashes. Then don't mess with it. Let it charge completely (Charge LED stops flashing and is OFF) and then unplug it. It will turn off. Then later you can turn it on.

My go pro hero 3 wont switch on, wont charge and shows no red light. basically does nothing. was working 4 days ago but seemed to have short battery life. the camera is only 3 weeks old! Could it just be...

I have the exact same problem. I was able to charge the battery twice, but both times it ran empty after 20-30 min., and now the camera is dead as a brick. Absolutely nothing happens when I try to charge or turn it on. :(

My cammera will not charge! The orange light does not show up when charging ???

There are 3 possibilities to charge the battery of the camera:

1. Connecting the Olympus' USB cable to camera and computer.
2. Connecting the wall charger to the camera with Olympus' USB cable.
3. Using a specific separate wall charger for LI-50B batteries.

Be sure to connect the cable well and if the orange LED does not light when trying to charge the battery using above points 1 and 2, there might want to exchange the Olympus' USB cable first to check what's wrong. (Cable model: CB-USB6). Another point is to check if the battery is seated well in the camera.

Camera wont turn on

1. Are you sure the battery is fully charged?
You can charge the battery by connecting the Olympus USB cable to the camera and computer.
Or using the delivered wall charger. When charging the orange LED on the camera should light.
When fully charged, the LED is off.
2. If this does not help you, check if your battery is well seated in the camera.
3. Check if the battery is faulty by replacing it by another one.

My goPro hero HD is stuck at "tel" mode, after i hooked it up to a TV. I have tried some forum-solutions with no luck what so ever! When I turn it on it shows the normal "film" menu,...

Find a solution, you can have a try:

1. SD Card out
2. Battery out wait 10 seconds
3. Battery in wait 1 minute (this extra time was the key to getting this sequence to work for me)
4. Power up take a photo, power down (you have about a three second window before it goes into Tel mode)
5. Wait 1 min

6. Power up (NB still no SD card)

At this point camera appears to be working stays in normal mode with --- displayed because no SD card is inserted.

Also interestingly plugging a video output cable into HDTV output socket makes camera go to Tel mode AND when you unplug it camera goes back to normal.

However plugging the SD card sends camera into Tel mode permanently. On the plus side this 1-6 sequence was repeatable and worked every time.

From this point I tried many combination's of video cables, SD cards, formatted, erased waiting....then came the USB cable!

7. Connect USB cable to computer (NB still no SD card installed)

8. Insert SD (Computer should detect card and any photos taken should be viewable)

9. "Eject" Camera from Computer USB

10. Disconnect camera from USB (should power down by itself)

11. Power up Camera, Woohoo! it works again!

Hi I have the vivitar vivicam 8025 dont have my manual want to know how to charge my battery

First off, you can download a PDF version of the manual from the manufacturer at: http://www.vivitar.com/files_products/13/VC8025%20User%20Manual.pdf
If you don't have a PDF viewer, you can download one from: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/ (just click download under the free version)
For your convenience I've pasted the relevant information about charging the batteries from the above manual:
Please charge the battery as below 2 methods: A. Charge with USB cable Insert the lithium battery into your camera correctly, and connect your camera to computer with USB cable. The red LED of camera will be light on indicating that your camera is in charging status, the LED willbe off when charge full.
B. Charge with supplied charger Your camera is supplied a compatible charger for you, you are only required to put the battery into charger and charge the lithium battery directly from electrical outlet

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

When my son tries to play his guitar all the lights are flashing on it and we cant figure out how to get it working..

The flashing lights on the controller mean the guitar is not connecting to the wireless usb dongle connected to the PS3.

1. Verify that the wireless box is plugged in firmly to the usb port on the front of the PS3.

2. If that doesn't work, look on the wireless usb dongle for the guitar hero guitar controller. (It should be a black box with the guitar hero logo on it. You will find a small push button on the dongle. (Make sure your PS3 is turned on, though your guitar hero game does not have to be open. It may be a good idea to have the game running, so you can test your guitar or make sure it is really working). Press and hold the button on the wireless usb dongle for a few seconds. Five seconds should be enough. Doing this attempts to re-connect the dongle and the controller. You will know when the connection is good when the red lights on the controller go steady, as well as the LED on the small button you pressed on the wireless usb dongle. If either lights continue to blink, there is a connection problem still.

3. Try changing the batteries in the guitar controller. Weak batteries tend to cause connection issues.

4. Test the wireless usb dongle and controller with another PS3. This will rule out an issue with your PS3 system.

5. If the problem still occurs on another PS3, the wireless dongle may have gone bad. (This does happen rarely.) Replacements are cheap to find on ebay

How do you charge the samsung SL202 camera

You charge the rechargable battery in the camera by turning the camera off and connecting to a USB port on your PC (not a USB hub). If the red LED is on the battery is being charged. If the green LED is on the charge is complete. If the red LED is flashing there is an error and you should check the seating of the battery. The USB port must provide 5V and 500mA for a complete charge. the manual for your camera is at http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200909/20090930164417500/SL202_English.pdf

Digimax i5 problem charging battery

Hello,
■ Charging LED

Charging LED
Red LED is on = Being charged
Red LED is blinking = Charging error
Green LED is on = Charging is complete

● If the charge indicator blinks as red, it indicates a battery charging error.
- The battery is not properly inserted
- The terminals of battery are dirty or damaged
If the battery is inserted properly and the charge indicator continues to blink, contact the
nearest Samsung Camera Service Center.

If the charging LED doesn't turn to green could mean a signal that the battery is bad or can't charge 100% anymore = too old, needs a new battery. Hope this helps.
