Use a scart lead to connect your cable tv box. then on your tv remote press the "source" button or press the "AV" button, you mainly have the options to choose AV1 and AV2 (AV2 is only available if your tv has 2 scart sockets) make sure the box is on and select any AV channel, you should now have cable tv.

I have did the auto scan and the tv screen is still blank. i need some answers asap please!!!!!!!!!!

does a DVD player work on the unit?
if so, be sure you have good connections of your input cables (and you know these connector cables to be good), then see if you can manually program channel 3, or any other channels programmed manually. I suggest channel 3 in case you are using satelite or cable box. Then turn the cable or satelite box & see if you get reception on channel 3.

How do i connect my amp to my vizio tv there are right and left outputs on tv but only one input on back off amp

Typically you need an preamplifier between your tv and amplifier. you run one optical cable (or coax ) cable from you tv audio output to the preamplifier then you run audio rca cables from preamp outputs to amp inputs (2 for stereo 5 or 7 for surround). the preamp decodes audio and controls volume and surround modes.
If you have a cable box and need just simple setup for watching tv just run rca cables from your cable box audio outs to your amp inputs. you then program your cable remote control to control volume.

How do i get my TV to play through my surround sound system

I don't know which receiver you have but, I can give you a basic idea.
You need RCA cables Yellow for Video, Red and White for Audio.
You may not need to connect the Yellow cable for the Video again, it depends on the receiver you're using. Basically, to get the TV sound from your Surround system, you only need the white and Red RCA cables.
Connect one side of the RCA cable white & Red to the receiver (IN) and the other side of the RCA Cable to the TV or cable box (out) You need to select the source on the receiver, AUX or Video.

I could help better if I knew which receiver, if you're using a cable box and how are you getting TV signal? do you select CH 3 or AV to watch TV?

Best of luck to you.

How do setup a VCR/DVD with a Comcast DCT6200 and be able to record and watch different programs?

You can use a splitter. Or you can connect one connection from the Cable box to the TV and another connection from the Cable Box to the Recorder. By doing so, you can watch TV channels while recording a different program on the TV.

How to connect motorola cable box to samsung dvd/vcr model vr375 to a Westinghouse hdtv with 2 hdmi connections

The DVD-VR375 does not have an HDMI input. The connection should be:
• RED WHITE & YELLOW CABLE from your cable box (AV OUT) should connect to the DVD-VR375 (AV IN 1). Set the DVD-VR375 to AV 1 using the INPUT SEL. button.
• Next, connect an HDMI cable from the DVD-VR375 (HDMI OUT) to the TV (HDMI IN). Set the TV to the proper source.
This connection would allow the recorder to work as a pass through and will let you record TV programs as well as watch your cable channels.

Hope this helps!

Connecting TV to combo DVD and VCR

When you say "can't get the TV to play through the VCR", do you mean that you can't get the cable-stations to play through the VCR to the TV? I'll assume that's what you're trying to accomplish.

The most common way to connect a VCR to a TV is through a coaxial cable, from the port on the rear of the VCR labeled "Out to TV." There should be another coaxial port labeled "Cable/Ant In." This is where I picture your cable programming is currently connected.

Instead, it sounds like you connected the VCR to a modulator (probably thru RCA composite cables, which have yellow / red / white plugs). Then the modulator connects to the TV thru a coaxial cable. This will successfully play the VCR to whatever specific channel (perhaps 2, 3 or4), but the modulator doesn't know of any other signals to send to your TV.

2 possible solutions:

1) If the modulator has a coaxial port labeled "Cable/Ant In" or something indicating "In" at a threaded coaxial port, connect your cable-programming to this instead of the to the VCR.

Depending on what type of modulator it is, when you want to switch from watching the VCR to watching cable-programming, you might have to push a button on the modulator to make the swtich, or you might not. Your modulator might put the VCR on channel 3, and allow the higher cable channels to filter though to their respective stations. Most cable providers will leave channels 2, 3 and 4 blank for this purpose. Try it and see.

2) Axe the modulator. Take it out of the system entirely. Connect your cable programming to the VCR "Cable/Ant In" and use another coaxial cable to go from the VCR's "Out to TV" port to the TV. When you want to switch from watching the VCR to watching cable, press a button on your VCR or the VCR's remote. Usually this button is labled, "TV/VCR."

If this does not help, write back and explain in more detail how your system is currently connected.
