I have '05, both should be similar:
1.Cabin air filter is located above battery on right side against firewall.
Release three latches, remove filter housing, slide old filter out (housing is flexible), insert new
one, reinstall housing.
2.Engine air filter is on the left side of the block (follow intake hose). Cover is retained with six screws
(six point star shape,I belive called Torox, bit/scredriver size 25). Loosen screws (don' t pull all the
way out of the cover) lift cover , and remove old filter. Insert new one, reinstall cover. DO NOT
OVERTORQUE SCREWS! Screw holes in plastic filter housing strip very easily.
Note: Intake hose is very flimsy, one on my car came apart and had to be replaced.

if you're talking about the engine air filter,there are about 6 T-20 screws at the top of the filter housing(which is the rectangular shaped box to the right of the mercedes benz engine cover(if your standing in front of the vehicle)just unscrew those and pull the cover up,there might the one screw holding the ecu connecter in place at the right rear of the housing,just unscew it and pull the connecters out(engine off of course)and pull the cover up,theres the engine air filter,just pop it out and pop it the new one,if you're asking about the cabin filter,the cover above the battery in the engine compartment,just unhook the 3 hook tabs and take the cover out,theres the cabin filter,pop it out and pop the new one in,hope this helps
