When want to charge htc wildfire it is better you turn the phone of before charging. Plug in the charger and charge for about 20mins to 30mins then remove the charger pin-mouth for like 10secs and plug it back in. soon the red light will turn green in less than an hour..

I an charging my WIldfire s for the first time but how do I know if it is charging

To my knowledge, here are some of the things you will notice while charging your phone:
  • After connecting the USB cable, It will show you a pop-up. Choose "Charge only".
  • When you go to Menu->Notifications, you will see a "Charge only" under Ongoing section.
  • The battery icon at the top will be animated if not yet full (moving green color).
  • You will also see a USB icon at the top.
  • A LED indicator will glow green when full.
  • You can feel a little heat in your phone while charging.

How do i charge myHTC wildfire

Hi There and Welcome to Fixya.

Here's my recommendation to maximize your battery power :
  • Fully discharge the battery of your HTC
  • Charge it fully
Repeat this for 3 times. This will enable your HTC to properly hold the battery power and maximize it's resources. For your convenience, I've included the user's manual :

HTC Wildfire Manual

Hope this helps, Thanks for using FixYa.

My htc wildfire is not charging, there is no red light on? The battery is now dead, but it is plugged into the mains.

Problem with either
- Battery - gone real dead. Get a new one.
- Charger - gone dead due to some electrical fault. Get a new one.

If both are fine.. the problem with internal circuit. Only a HTC technician could help fixing this.

Hi, what is the flashing light on my HTC wildfire screen ? sometimes it's flashing and sometimes not so could you please tell me how it works normaly ? thank you

i think you mean the led above the screen. it is a led that means a lot of things
like: orange - recharging green - full battery red - low battery
there are more things like notifications for text messages (all apps can make ir blink for their own reason)
hope this helps

My htc wont open and when i connect charger, led light goes red what happen?

Maybe your battery is dead and will not charge. Normally when you connect the charger the led must become orange after a few seconds and green when the battery is fully charged. If it stays red the battery is not charging.
