It is suggested that you replace your air filter at least once a year (or every 12,000-15,000 miles)

tip

Low air flow from a/c vents

In the summertime when its hot out, a/c air flow from the vents can start to slow down. When this happens there is a simple thing that all owners can do. Most vehicles today have a cabin air filter inside the vehicle. Most of these filters are easy to get to and change. Then there are some that take a bit more work. A cabin air filter is like a engine filter and works the same way. The cabin air filter catches outside air and debris that gets into the vehicle before it can get to the a/c evaporator. When these filters get dirty they restrict the airflow from the vents. When your airflow is not as good as it used to be, remove the cabin air filter and test the flow again with the filter out. If it changes and blows better, that means the cabin air filter needs to be changed

Pontiac g8 change air filter

I assume you mean the cabin air filter. The engine air filter is easy, assuming you've changed one on any other car before (hint: it's a box with some clips on the right side). The cabin air filter is a bit more involved, see below.
