Auth Required sounds odd. The only thing i could think would cause this is if the copier itself has Department Managment enabled. This is used to limit printing by quanity and sometimes restricting color prints. IF everyone else in the office is required to enter a code to print and this one does not then you need to enable department ID via the driver settings. Right Click your print driver and go to properties and select "Device Settings" from the tabs on the top of the window. Under this menu there should be a box that says Department ID select that and try it out. Another way is to "aquire" the copiers device status a button labeled somewhat to this effect should also be in that same window.
Find your printer (in the start menu//control panel//printers and faxes). Open your printer and find the print que. Highlight the document and right click pop down. Locate and select cancel.
There is a tensioner that holds the printhead assembly down, slide it more to the right. It sounds like you just need a bit more pressure on the right hand side of the printhead.
here is the link to check how to remove the print head with pictorial discription www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport you can also visit www.kodak.com/go/inkjetvideos . You need to take both the ink cartridges out first and right where you put the black ink cartridge all the way to the back of it in the plastic tray pinch in the top right hand corner and push upwards you will hear a click sound and it will be released..........to put it back in you just need to push right in the center towards back and should snap in.............m sure this would be helpful...
check to see which cartridge you put in, photo magenta cartridges DO NOT work in the MP830. sounds silly but we see it all the time.
check to see if the short vertical black bar next to the magenta pattern looks ok, not brown or gray or streaky. if it is you may need a professional head flush, take the whole printer in for service.

Hopefully, it will printed. Let me know one way or the other.
This sounds like an advanced setting on your printer setup. When you get to the print dialog, hit Properties for your printer, then look around there for a "mirror" or "reverse" setting. Different printers use different drivers, so your configuration options are difficult to predict.
