Our canon C3220 is not printing from one of the computers in the office. It is putting all print jobs on hold due to authentication required

Auth Required sounds odd. The only thing i could think would cause this is if the copier itself has Department Managment enabled. This is used to limit printing by quanity and sometimes restricting color prints. IF everyone else in the office is required to enter a code to print and this one does not then you need to enable department ID via the driver settings. Right Click your print driver and go to properties and select "Device Settings" from the tabs on the top of the window. Under this menu there should be a box that says Department ID select that and try it out. Another way is to "aquire" the copiers device status a button labeled somewhat to this effect should also be in that same window.3_15_2012_4_29_14_am.jpg

This may sound wierd, but I accidentally printed a whole book on the computer when I only needed a small part of it. I turned the power on and off, and it would restart from the 1st page then continue...

Find your printer (in the start menu//control panel//printers and faxes). Open your printer and find the print que. Highlight the document and right click pop down. Locate and select cancel.

Should do it.

Z4M printer when printing on a 3.75 wide label the left side prints fine and the right side is missing half the print. Also continuous wrinkles in the ribbon causing gaps in the print. I tried different...

There is a tensioner that holds the printhead assembly down, slide it more to the right. It sounds like you just need a bit more pressure on the right hand side of the printhead.

Printing color copies

check to see which cartridge you put in, photo magenta cartridges DO NOT work in the MP830. sounds silly but we see it all the time.

check to see if the short vertical black bar next to the magenta pattern looks ok, not brown or gray or streaky. if it is you may need a professional head flush, take the whole printer in for service.

Nothing there

Did you try cleaning the print cartridge nozzles.

Press Function once and up arrow 2 times
Press the right arrow once and the up arrow once
Press the right arrow once
Press Start/Memory button
It will print a test parttern page

Once you insert the new cartridge did the machine recognize the new cartridge? You had to press 1 for new

When 1 is selected you will get a prompt New Cart: OK?
OK press start.

If you selected NEW the display will show the alternating messages at right. Align Cartridge----1 Print 2 Set

Press 1 to print an alignment page

Hopefully, it will printed. Let me know one way or the other.

Printer prints backwards/upsidedown

This sounds like an advanced setting on your printer setup. When you get to the print dialog, hit Properties for your printer, then look around there for a "mirror" or "reverse" setting. Different printers use different drivers, so your configuration options are difficult to predict.
