Exaust fan has weak suction on maytage mmv4205baw

While cooking on cooktop it seems the exaust on microwave is very weak. looks like it is barly working at all. The blower comming out top front blows air good. The exaust being weak allows steam to go up front of microwave getting door damp. It has been like this sinse first installed, exaust was always weak.

This is due to poor air flow, either to a blockage or a problem with the internal cooling fan or hood vent exhaust fan.

Are the grease filters or charcoal filter clogged?

You may want to check your owner's manual for info on checking the filters. Grease filters can be cleaned, but charcoal filters must be replaced about every 6-12 months.

The installation manual will tel you if there's some error in the installation setup.

Since it's brand new, it would be fully under warranty, so I would contact Maytag to have them fix it free.

Does everything else work?? If so, its just the turntable motor, simple to replace. there are three or four screws under the bottom. UNPLUG the microwave first.

Display and touch buttons inoperative on MMV4205BAW Microwave Oven. Only abt 2 yrs old...

The keypad controller has probably developed a short in the membrane of the keypad, it must be replaced in order to get it up and running, but I suggest a maytag repairman to address this.

I have a Maytag mmv4205baw Microwave oven. It

the unit that creates the microwaves called the "magnetron" has gone bad, or the circuits powering the magnetron have gone bad. there really isnt a cheap way to fix it, and not a undangerous way to fix it yourself. if your really like the microwave and dont want to part with it, you can try finding a repair shop that will fix microwaves, but they will probably tell you it would be cheaper to buy a new one. sorry

Microwave no longer heats, makes more noise than it did when it was heating. Microwave is a Maytag, model # MMV4205BAW. Thanks.

Sounds like the magnetron has failed. There are some high voltage circuits that feed the magnetron and you can potentially get hurt if you don't know what you are doing. Would recommend you have it serviced by a professional if you want it fixed, otherwise look for a new one since the cost of repair can come close to the price of a new microwave oven.

My fan works on my microwave by it does not draw suction

Actually, the fan in the microwave is only there to cool down the magnetron which cooks the food. It gets very hot over a period of time and the maintains constant temperature across it. Suggest you use an extractor to remove fumes.

Possible door adjustment problem

Since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

Or you can return it for replacement.

I would not suggest trying to fix this yourself since it's under warranty.
