Printer does not print

I have a i860 Canon printer which will not print. After trying to check the status, it tells me that it does not recognize the printer head and it will no realign the printer head after inserting a new ink cartrige.

You might be running low on toner or ink. In this case check out the ink/toner capacity left. it might even be a faulty cartridge if bought new, or a faulty printer, but it doesn't sound like it.

Check the back of the printer. There should be door at the bottom. Your paper jam could be there.

Canon i860 "printer offline" but light is blinking
Move mouse pointer on to your printer icon in the Printer folder. Does a right click and click on the sixth line of the menu (“Use printer on line”). Then it will change as “Use printer offline”. Make sure the printer is set as default printer.
