I live at an orphanage in Guatemala and someone sent us this unit without box or instructions. It has slight damage to the back of the unit like something pressed against it. Don't have $9.99 available, but would appreciate any help you could be. If you have other heaters to donate that wiuld be great. Blessings, Bob

The problem is most likely the over heating sensor thermostat located directly under the heating elements - The reason the over-heat safety thermostat sensor is tripping the warning buzzer is because either the cool air fan intake is obstructed with dust / dirt, or the fan motor stopped rotating, or the over-heating condition thermostat is defective, or over sensitive - Usually when the cool air intake is obstructed for any reason, the heating elements will glow brighter, and hotter without good air flow, and the elements may start to bow downwards closer to the over-heating safety thermostat - However, if the safety thermostat is defective, it can trigger the warning buzzer even though there may not be an over-heating condition / event present - The buzzer warning going off prematurely also occurred with my Holmes space heater - I checked the air flow first, and then the appliance tip-over switch second - Both were found functioning properly - It wasn't until I replaced the safety over-heating thermostat, did the buzzer stop going off moments after I plugged the space heater in an outlet.

How to set & cancel theft deterrent system or how to set & cancel security...

Theft deterrent system (on some models)

Theft deterrent system is designed to deter vehicle theft. The system flashes the turn signal lights and turns on the interior light or the signal lights only (depending on the model), and sounds security horn and vehicle horn when it detects abnormalities such as follows:

• Any door or hood is forcibly opened.
• The batter terminal is disconnected and then reconnected
• The system control is disconnected and then reconnected.
• Abnormal impact is detected when the impact sensor function is on.

The system flashes the turn signal lights and turns the interior light or the signal lights only (depending on the model), and sounds security horn and vehicle horn if someone attempts to damage or break into your car.

Setting the system

You can set the system with or without the impact sensor function. For details, see "Canceling the impact sensor" below.

1. Turn the ignition key to "LOCK" and remove it.
2. Have all passengers get out of the vehicle
3. Push the lock (set) switch on the wireless remote control key once. At this time, the turn signal lights flashes once and the security indicator light comes on.

The system is set after 30 seconds. At this time, the security indicator light start flashing slowly.

Once the system is set, you cannot start the engine until you cancel the system.

The system will not be set in the following cases.

• When any of the door is open; security horn sounds for 1 second, close the door and set the system again.
• When the hood is open; close the hood securely.

Canceling the Impact Sensor

The impact sensor can be cancelled to prevent false alarms from being triggered incase of the following conditions:

• When parked in the noisy area
• The vehicle body or glass is subjected to a strong impact from the (such as in highly pressurized car wash).
• When transporting by a car carrier or ferry.

To cancel the impact sensor;

1. Lock the door by pushing the lock (set) switch on the wireless remote control key once, and turn signal light flash once
2. Then push the lock (set) switch twice within 5 seconds. At this time, the turn signal flash 5 times to indicate the impact sensor function is disable.

The impact sensor is deactivated as long as the system remained armed.

Canceling the system

The system will be cancelled by the following two ways:

• Turn the ignition key from "LOCK" to "ON" position.
• Unlock any of the doors by pushing the unlock (cancel) switch

If the turn signal lights flash 3 times, the system has been alarmed. Check to see if there is any abnormality with your vehicle.

If any of the doors is not opened within 30 seconds, all doors will be automatically locked and the system will be set.

When the system is set

Activating the system; When the system detects abnormalities such as follows, it flashes the turn signal lights and turns on the interior light or the turn lights only (depending on the model) and sounds the security horn and vehicle horn of 30 seconds.

• Unlocking any door without using wireless control
• Any door or hood is forcibly opened.
• The battery terminal is disconnected and then reconnected.
• The system control assembly is disconnected and then reconnected
• Abnormal impact is detected when the impact sensor function is on.

Reactivating the alarm;

Once set, the system automatically resets the alarm after the alarm stops.

The alarm will activate again under the same circumstances described in "Activating the system".

Stopping the Alarm

The alarm will be stopped by the following two ways;

• Turn the ignition key from the "LOCK" to "ON" position.
• Unlock any of the doors by pushing the unlock (cancel) switch.

The system can be cancelled by these ways at the same time.

If the battery becomes discharged due to the vehicle being unused, for a long time etc., when the battery is recharged or replaced, the system will activate the alarm. If this happens, immediately unlock any of the doors by pushing the unlock (cancel) switch, and the alarm will stop.

Testing the system

1. Set the system
2. Insert a wireless remote control key into the key hole on the driver's door handle, and unlock the door.
3. Open the door, and an alarm will sound.
4. Stop the alarm by pushing the unlock (cancel) switch.
5. Repeat this operation for the front passenger's door.

Good luck.

How can i disarm the system without arming automatically after 30 seconds?

Hello my name is Israel and I will help you. First you will need to know where the override switch is located. Once you know where it is, you will need to close all vehicle doors and let it set. Once the alarm sets, enter vehicle, the alarm will sound. Insert key and put in the run position, but DO NOT START the vehicle. Once it is in the run position, push or turn on the overirde switch. This should turn off the alarm. Good Luck.
