Is there a micro focus switch on the lens
On my lens if switch to Micro Mode the Auto focus is disabled, Also it is a stupid question but you are using a AF lens and not a xi series or manual focus lens.

SOURCE: F stop settings not responding

It could be that the camera's aperture stop-down magnets have failed, causing the camera to shoot everything fully stopped-down (e.g. all shots at F22 or F16). There doesn't appear to be a cure for this (at least not one that makes financial sense). Change the shutter speed over a range, then look into the lens - does it stop down fully every time? Try changing the f-stop - does it still stop down fully every time (the iris goes very small - same size on every shot)?
If yes, it's the magnets. If you've invested a lot in lenses, try a Sony digital SLR - your lenses will work with that, or pick up another Minolta film body - perhaps something substantially newer, where the aperture magnets haven't had a chance to fail.

SOURCE: Blinking film on screen.

Sounds like the batteries went dead, and the internal lithium memory battery was already dead, causing it to forget the settings. install fresh batteries, and reset the ISO of youtr film by holding down the ISO button, and pressing the up/down buttons behind the shutter release. That should return it to normal, but you will have the same problem again whenever you are changing the batteries until you replace the lithium cell. To change the lithium cell, remove tha battery pack, and open the metal plate in the camera's battery compartment. The cell is a lithium CR 2016.

If that does not fix it, you may have a broken camera.

SOURCE: the data panel has some black marks in it, can

Your camera is now about a quarter of a century old so model-specific spare parts like the LCD and rubber trim panels are as rare as fresh **** ****. The situation is worsened as Minolta no longer exist. Unless you look for another example for spares then you'll just have to live with the faults, but the discoloured rubber parts (I imagine they've gone from near black to a variable milky appearance) can be improved by using automotive refinishing products. Some exterior vinyl and rubber products work well as do the kind of tyre blacking polishes which dry completely without rubbing off easily. If you look for a replacement/spares donor then check out your local FreeCycle and Freegle groups (the latter is UK only). Many old 35mm SLR's, especially the later highly electronic auto everything models like yours, are virtually worthless so can often be obtained for free these days. My truck turns off when i put on the A.C on or the defoger also the radio turns on and off and when I turn on the truck it has a tik tik tik sound.

Very common problem after the battery has been disconnected or a battery change. Clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner. First disconnect the battery, clean the TB with TB cleaner, must be nice and shiny. When finished, hook the battery back up and drive around for 20 minutes or so with all accessories off, so the computer will relearn a properly functioning throttle body.

Your computer learned some bad habits, so when you changed the battery, the computer thought the throttle body was clean and functioning properly. So when you changed it, this caused all your problems. Very common, keep your throttle body clean, should be done at least once a year. Total cost if you do it yourself is around $5, for the can of TB cleaner.

Motorcycle battery seems dead, help locating/replacing/charging

Yes it is the battery. First try charging it with trickle charger. NOT car battery charger. It should work fine once it is charged enough to start the bike. Than the bikes should keep it charged. Or you can jump it with car battery. This is safe. THe motorcyle battery is also 12 volts. Just smaller.

After the bike runs for 5-10 minutes and shut if off. Wait 5-10 minutes after it is off and try again. If it does not start again, than your battery is either dead or your stator/rectifier (your charge system) could be faulty. Lot cheaper to get battery for $30 than to pay $75 hourly shop fees for testing and than repairing.

It wont start , has a click-click -click sound when you try to start it

Try trouble shooting by using another battery to start the vehicle. If it does not start, then the starter must have gone bad.
