You can do it by SD Card or by Active Sync connection. The instructions are included in the Update package provided on support.symbol.com

I remember having the exact same problem when I first used the MC9090. It works on such other devices like the Datalogic Viper, but not the MC9090.

The IP is set within the wireless profile.

On the radio icon in the task bar select Wireless Profiles. This box then holds all your wireless profiles, including the default Motorola "out of box". Hold down the stylus on the screen and select "Add New" follow the prompts. When you get to IP Address from the pull down menu select static and then next this will take you to another screen where you can add your details.

Now you want to make them persist through either a cold boot or when the terminal has been left without a battery for a substantial amount of time.

This can be done 2 ways. When the profile has been set up highlight it by holding down the stylus on it and from the menu select export. This saves the registry key to the Application folder; a folder which persist through a cold boot. When it does cold boot it takes all the registry keys from the Application folder and builds 1 complete key.

The other way is to close the WLAN profile and selection options, from the pull down menu select export and save all profiles.

It appears you device can not gain access to you DHCP server to obtain an IP address.

Simple solution would be to assign a static IP and then test.

Do the intermec scanners obtain there IP address's vias DHCP?

I'm not sure if you can trigger the scanner based on a web field but you can just enable the Data wedge software which will allow the scan to input anywhere you have the cursor. The scanner will be "active" all the time but won't actually scan until you pull the trigger. You can download the datawedge software from www.symbol.com.

You may need to reflash the OS. you can normally download it from symbol webpage. you will need a cradle and an SD card.

You have to use a program which will activate the scanner.

install a program called symbol appcenter and you can keep people from accessing anything you do not want them to access, I have it installed on mine for an inventory system and all my employees can access is the inventory system. As the administartor I have the password if I need to access anything else in the scanner to ake changes, but nobody else can.

You may need to replace the scan engine - I can help you out with this (or any other issues you may be having).
