    Tape keep spitting out

  • Anonymous Dec 31, 2008

The same thing is happening with mine. I guess its kind of expected with such small plastic parts.

Mine is doing the same thing- just all of a sudden- of course on a ski vacation. We took out the tape, put in a new one- closed it- and then it thinks for a second then beeps and ejects it.

Same here. It was given to me as a gift and now it wont accept the tape. I put it in and then it beeps, then rejects it. I never used it. Kinda disspointed.

I have one doing the same thing. I called Cannon and the told me I would have to send it in for service. Now after reading that about 10 other folks having the same issue, I think Cannon has some issue with the ZR100. Of course mine is out of warranty. Everyone should call Cannon and complain.

Tape jammed. Eject jammed.

Sometimes the tape is stuck on the head . Open the door and try to pry off the tape from the head with a thin instrument . Power up the unit and usually it spits out the cass. This worked for me many times.

JVC GR D20 E

Hi,

Usually when a device (or any device for that matter) spits a tape out, it usually means the tape isn't sitting properly inside. There could by some obstruction preventing the tape from going in properly. Check to see the tape is in it's regular form...it hasn't changed shape dramatically. Make sure no foreign objects (sticker...lint) are on the surface of the tape (on all sides) and inside the camcorder. Maybe the tape isn't being inserted properly (try inserting at proper angle) and do it gently. If it still doesn't work, it could be that the tape has malfunctioned or in the worst case scenerio, the camcorder loading mechanism has malfunctioned (meaning it needs to be serviced).

Rejecting tapes

I had the same problem with my SC-D363. My screen would flash "D" and tell me to eject the tape.

Here is the SOLUTION:
1) Very Gently unscrew (4 screws)and remove the front casing portion of the camcorder, be sure not to strip the screws.
2) Directly underneath the lens there is crosslike metal support that extends from the tape
compartment chassis. The green circuit board should rest on top of it as shown below instead of
underneath it, as it was when it was assembled.
And Voila! Camera works like when it first came out of the box.

I bought the vcr quasar vhq 940 used and it keeps spitting the tape back out. How do I fix it?

It means the unit has either a bad belt or belts or a bad drive wheel--if the tape goes in the unit opens the cassette and feeds the tape out--if broken or loose belt it will not make it fully out against the video heads and will spit tape out.

Used to be by model number belt packs with a idler included to replace all at one time.

Use or hours does not matter as if the unit sits a long time or is rarely used the belts and idler (rubber) will degrade and cause problems.

E 10 tape deck error/ tapes keep spitting out

The radio checks to make sure the drive capstan is turning - if not, gives the E10 error. Either the drive belt in the radio is slipping or the drive wheel in the adapter is sticking. If it does it with a real cassette, then it's probably the drive belt. If not, you can try to figure out why the wheel in the adapter is not turning freely.

My canon zr850 is rejecting mini dv tapes what do i do?

Sometimes this is caused by the tape itself, or more specifically, the tape case. If the tapes are labeled, there is a chance that the flap which lifts to expose the tape is stuck closed. Check this by locating just bellow the flap on the tape a recessed button. Press and hold it while opening the flap. If it's sticky, or stuck and is difficult to open, this is your problem. Make sure the flap opens unrestricted by removing the labels from the case which would hinder this motion. Hope this helps.

Tape deck spitting tape out

Time for a new car stereo. I recommend something that you can plug a flash drive into that will provide hours of listening pleasure. Repairing the factory tape deck is not going to be economical. Since the stereo has to be removed to diagnose it, much less repair it, just fill the hole with something else. If you absolutely love the factory deck, salvage yards everywhere have them available for less than the cost of a repair.
