A month ago our bulb burned out and I replaced it with a Sony bulb. TV worked fine for a few weeks, but now entire screen is white with some faint pinkish vertical lines. Audio works fine. I have no idea what is wrong. Bummed.A month ago our bulb burned out and I replaced it with a Sony bulb. check the video input cables for any damage or broken part. check either ur tv or the player for any setting against NTSC, PAL or SECAM. Or try the tv with other player or try the player with other tv.
Ok, my phone had the same problem. I took the face plate off and the screen out and there's actually a little connector that connects to a board behind the screen(can come unplugged for replacement). I fiddled around a little with it and it worked fine. about a week or 2 later it happened again. I tried fixing it again and it would just flash white>black>lines>white, repeat. I know my phone's taken a bit of abuse, dropped down a road, soaked in rain, but it always worked after. These phone screens aren't meant to take abuse. Problem; the phone screen died. Solution; get a new screen.
I posted to your problem with a similar one. I was able to get my PS3 to work by:
1.) Powering down both the PS3 and ViewSonic LCD
2.) Unplugging the power cables to both PS3 and LCD
3.) Waiting at least 10 or more seconds
4.) Plugging in the power cables to both PS3 and LCD
5.) Turning on the ViewSonic LCD
6.) Turning on the PS3 and holding down the power button until the beep
After this sequence I heard the bootup audio and the menu appeared on the screen- which detected the HDMI connection to my LCD.
Very odd.. I've had my PS3 in the same place for months and just today this happened.
I too have the same problem with the blue screen and also some dots in the center of the screen. I went to the sony site (www.sony.com) and found the answer. They will repair the unit until Dec 31, 2008. hope this helps
Does anyone know where can I buy a screen for a 27" LCD Insignia TV. Model is NS-27LCD? My screen creaked. I checked out e-bay and have not found a broken TV with a good screen. Does anyone know where I can buy a screen at. Thank you all for you time. JC
This is a fan issue, most likely the large fan in the rear, lower left (from the back)...
Here's the fix, I promise, it's EASY........
Ok, I think I have the answer for the BIG FAN failure. I recently did a
similar fix on the spindle of an xbox 360 and it is identicle. Ok, this
is an EXTREMELY EASY FIX...
Open the back of the tv, locate the large fan (on the lower left on the back of the set.) unscrew the screen and remove the fan.
Once the fan is removed, you will see the side with the model number and the other side is totally open.
On the open side, pull...
The fan will come off, into your hand, it is only held by magnets...
You will notice a spindle on the fan and the other side has the magnets
and the hole where the spindle came from (this is the fan motor).
Clean both the spindle and the hole (motor) with a q-tip. The hole is
smaller than the q-tip, but do the best you can to remove the old
lubricant.
Get a bit of WD40 and lubricate the spindle and spray a touch in the hole.
Put them together, reconnect your fan, test it on startup and thank me...lol...
