I have a Samsung television that went black today. I thought it might be the station so I swithced it and the problem was still there. Can you help me find the part I need to fix it?

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size..

Sony wega blue spots lcd tv 55 inch flat screen

I assume those blue spots are appearing in a line? Regardless, unless its under warranty, its time to start looking for a new flat screen. Otherwise call them for service, sounds like it will need a new main board

My rca flat screen tv has a blue tint to the screen that comes and goes. It is like 5 lines of blue on the screen. There is one line that comes down the left side which is not blue. Basically the picture...

Hello:
The symptom you are describing could be one or two things, if it works for a while then starts to act up this coulb be an indication of a bad solder joint. But it may also be the CRT or the picture tube. Try tapping on the sides when it starts to act up while watching the picture to see if it clears when its tapped on. If it does then you have cold solder joints on the main board, this is a easy fix. IF it does'nt then I suggest you contact your store for warranty info to have the CRT replaced or the television exchanged. Since its still under warranty you might as well use it before it expires...

Panasonic 50PZ80U vertical lines

if these lines are solid black then your panel is probably bad. being six months old it is still under manufacturer warranty. they should be able to fix it for you for free. if they are not able to assist you then there is a way that you can check to see if the panel is bad. mark on the tv with a sticker or peice of tape where the lines are. then take the back of the tv off. find out where the lines are and it should line up with a ribbon cable. unscrew the ribbon cable and take it loose. it will be attached to the panel so dont pull to hard. there will be what looks like a little dark strip on the ribbon cable. these little strips have micro chips in them. look closely at the ribbon cable and if you see and arc spot or a burn spot then the panel is bad. look at one that is good for comparison. if this is bad and you are not able to get it warrantied then the tv is not worth fixing. the panels for these things cost about as much as a brand new tv would. hope this was helpful.

Convergence problem ,Help Please

Something is not right here. Is there any possibility that you can get the circuit designation (Rxxx) of the resistors that were "incorrect"? I am not aware of anything like this that can cause the "memory to be erased". The only memory in that area would be the factory convergence settings which can be modified from the service menu. Please try to supply the resistor IDs and I'll check on this.

Thanks,
Dan

Insignia NS-LCD37-09 turns on but no image

If your TV is less then a year old, still under manufacturers warranty. If not under warranty the defective parts could be the power supply or the back light inverter board. Both boards can be replace easily.
The way to know if you have a defective backlight inverter is by shinning a light from a flash light near the screen with the TV on and check in a 45 degrees angle if you have a dark video in the background, if the video is present then you have a backlight board failure. If no video, then is a power supply failure.
I have both boards if you want to buy them.
Let me know if you require further assistance.
