Everytime i try to send a picture to a contact on yahoo messenger they can not recieve it it comes back failed what is the problem these are existing picture on my phone from vacation
1- are you on wifi and if not, is the app allowed on cellular in your settings - cellular tab?
2- if first part is good, picture size might be too big so you have to chose a smaller size pic to send. It usually wil givetou an error msg saying picturesizeistoo big
The picture is probably too large for the limit set by the yahoo messenger. Try to send it in a smaller size.

I'VE GOT IT!
Whether you are using XP or Vista, go to System Restore, follow the instructions and you will be taken to a point in the past that you either a) didn't have a Messenger hang or b) before installed Messenger and then you can do it again.
It doesn't affect any documents.
I should have remembered this myself but one of the guys on a forum that I am a member of reminded me of this solution.

first remove the program from control panel/add remove programs. then download and install this free utility >> http://www.ccleaner.com/ run cleaner and registry. after you're done, reinstall Yahoo Messenger. hope this helps.

it sounds like you have a corrupted operating system or an infection, make sure you download your windows updates, do a full virus scan with counterspy from www.counterspy.com download www.ccleaner.com make sure it's ccleaner, also re download messenger from http://messenger.yahoo.com the current version should be 9.0.0.2112 if that doesn't help hold windows key then push r type in chkdsk c:/f/r on xp, if vista type cmd into the search bar right click it and run as administrator then type chkdsk c:/f/r that will fix the corruption on your hard drive for the most part. you'll probably still need to re download messenger again.

Hello, i have a fix for this issue. make sure that the default browser is installed and running correctly on your pc. if you know its installed go into internet options and select make default browser and click apply.
This is a fix only if you have installed a new web browsing application but did not select it to be your default browser.

1) Start your trouble shooting with a clean browser
Download 'ccleaner' and run it through a couple of times,using the factory settings and the 'Run Cleaner' control until 0 bytes are seen to be cleaned following a scan
Run the 'Registry' from the left hand toolbar but 'Save' any changes after opting to 'repair' errors.

Even if you have another browser set as default IE is working as a link between Yahoo Messenger and your default browser.and tends to be neglected.
