I don't think the HP Officejet 5780 have the capacity automatic for double side copy.
nothing in the printer specification have the double side copy listed.
what you can do is copy one side and trun the paper over and copy the other side.

I was wondering if there is anyway that you can make double sided copies and if so how??

Only copiers fitted with a duplexing unit will automatically make a double sided copy. I assume yours does not have this accessory.
You can always make two sided copies manually. You need to first work out the paper path, so mark one piece of paper with an arrow showing the top and the direction the sheet was placed on top of the paper feed tray. Make a copy and you will now know whether the top or bottom of the paper as loaded gets printed on. Now place that sheet back in the paper feed tray again with the arrow face down in the paper tray, but still pointing in the same direction as before. Print side two and you will now have a double sided copy. If the reverse of the copy is facing the wrong way then you know that the paper needs to go into teh paper tray with the arrow facing you. Hope this makes sense, but it just needs a couple of trial runs to get to understand which was round to put the paper back in for the revers side to be printed. Always keep the final successful double sided copy, marked up for future reference, as it is so easy to forget which way to put the paper back in several weeks later.

Do not know how to print two-sided documents in landscape mode.

This one is easy but it will take trial and error before it will work. You need to copy one side then take the same copy and put it back in drawer. Trial and error come from you making the 2nd side to see what side and direction to put paper back into the paper tray to get it correct. Hope I did not confuse you. Let me know if this helped or fixed your issue.

How to use

Does the copier have a duplexer? Automatic 2-sided copying (duplexing) was an optional feature for the EP2030. If there is a drawer in the lower section of the copier labeled "duplex" then your unit has this feature.

To use it, simply select 1>2 (for single-sided originals) or 2>2 (for 2-sided originals) on the "Orig>Copy" section of the control panel (toward the left side).

If your copier is not equipped with a duplexer, the only way you can make 2-sided copies is to copy the first side and then load the copies back into the paper tray or the manual bypass on the right side of the unit.

Note the the copier copies on the bottom side of paper fed from the paper trays, and the top side of paper fed from the manual bypass.

You can download a .pdf file of an operator's manual for this copier from the Konica Minolta website.

Copy Orientation

Is it cutting off on all of the paper trays on the same side of the page? Lead edge or Trail or front to back side of the copier? You can adjust the front to back in the paper tray and the lead and trail are adjusted in service mode. Do the amout of the cutting off change at all? You may have a reg. clutch problem. Also you can adjust the X & Y amouts in service mode as well.... It could just be as easy as making sure the paper tray guide's are tight against the paper in the trays...
