I turned the set on the next morning and there was sound but no picture..then it turned itself off and the steady red (replace lamp) light came on..pulled the lamp cartridge and it looked fine,,replaced cartridge no problems...powered on tv..you can hear a faint whine like a fan spool up then the color wheel spools up and both go up and down then tv just shuts off ..now i have to reset it to get it to come back on..and as i said worked perfect last night.......someone please help
I.m having problem were to buy a Mitsubishi lamp cartridge TYPE 915P028010. how much it cost.
If you hear a whining noise, the odds are it is the color wheel, the bearings are bad in it and will need to be replaced as a whole unit, kinda pricey, my suggestion, sale the bulb and all boards in it and which should fetch about 400+ and invest in a new TV, a color wheel is pricey unless you can find a deal

I also took the lap cover off and propped the door switch down...upon powerup the lamp flickers about 10 times then cycles again when the color wheel spools up the fan also comes on and off with these then it sits there with everything off for about 10 seconds and shuts off.....weird
