The blue buttons turn on but the screen stays black

It can be screen problem. If there is sound of a cooler, if not, any part an be broken. When my last notebook broken first time I`ve repaired it in service and then part by part every detail was breaking down. If it had problems usually better buy new one. You will economy money on repairing. I read this useful articles about laptops and chose a new one. I really needed one for my college.
