Oh yes. You will need an interface for the remote starter to work. You can purchase an FLCAN or an XK09 but, these components must be programmed to function properly. You can purchase an EVO-ALL; it does not need to be programmed. The installation instructions can be downloaded at ifar.ca. The three components mentioned above will work almost necessary components in the vehicle . Hardwire the system with 5303 and then wire the interface to the vehicle through the CAN data wires.

There are two types of starters for Dodge, if you installed new battery, check to see if the remote start is to ignition module or starter solenoid, then make sure the circuit has not been closed-they go in series circuit!

Chapman alarm system on a 2000 Dodge 1500

Question edited for clarity.

Unfortunately aftermarket alarms fail, often around the 5 to 6 year mark and need replacing. Remote starters are worse! You need a good auto-electrician to diagnose and fix. Or just replace it, depending on age.

Headlights not bright

It's very difficult to see how a keyless remote could cause the problem you describe, to be honest.

The problem may lie in the reflective shield inside the headlight though you would notice any defects.

I'd still check the earth wires for the headlights though.

Auto start on Dodge Ram shuts off about 10 seconds after starting

Not seeing the key chip. The remote that was installed if aftermarket needs to see a key for it to keep running. As with a normal WCM (wireless control module) the keys need to be programed to it.The turning off after 10 second is a security feature and would be normal if a unprogrammed key is used to start the truck.

I need to know what is wrong with my dodge ram 1500 . When I brake the truck squeals and its not my brake pads cause they look like new .

Did you install Dodge Replacement pads or aftermarket? With the size of the rotors and pads on your Ram it is not uncommon for aftermarket pads to have squeal. Did you install and use the anti-squeal material that should have come with the pads?
