Yes when either of the two Pico fuses F9A04 or F9A05 fail its caused by the convergence IC. replace the IC and both pico fuses should restore normal operation in most cases.

SOURCE: Samsung HCN4226 Convergence.

Did you remove one side of the resistors from circuit to check them? If you leave them in circuit a blown resistor will test good as it will read the resistance from the surrounding resistors. Usually its the 3.9 ohm resistors identified bu the bands orange, white ,gold and red. and also the 150 ohm identified by the bands brown, green, brown and gold

SOURCE: Samsung HCN4226 Convergence IC Problem.

The problem is likely to be the digital convergence board that generates the convergence signal that is amplified by the output ICs.

SOURCE: I just replaced the 2 ic chips (stk392-570) and

You have bias resistors close to the IC's, I would guess you have a few that have changed in value and therefore have destroyed the IC's again. Now you must start over again. The resistors will be very low Resistance and tolerance and they must check exact.

SOURCE: Convergence parts? What are the specific pico fuses and resistors

I have a mitsubishi ws-65809. I relpaced the STK392-570 ICs and turned on the tv and it powered on for 2 secs and went off. I ran the test and got a 2 and 2 blink. Then ran test and got a 1 and 2 blin

If you unplugged the set you will get the 1,2 no error found, the 2,2 is short protection, I hope you had that before the chips were replaced, it is one or both of the pico fuses bad that protect those chips.

see photo of board, locations are 9FAo4 and o5 on the middle board where the chips are but further back.
12_15_2012_1_52_39_pm.jpg they are both five amp pico fuses.

How do i test fuses on a circuit board?

F9A04 and F9A05 are the two picos to test. They are both 5amp pico fuses they will appear lime green and look like resistors without color bands. They are located on the same board as the convergence Ics. Just test them for continuity with a ohms meter.

Changed the ic's on my sony kp-65ws rear projection tv. (original parts) it fixed some of the bowing problems, and some the green and blue color problems. the red is still off and cant move the convergence...

did you check the two pico fuses on the G board. Usually the picos next to the ICs on the D board will be good, but the ones on the G board will blow when the original ICs failed.

Mitsubishi WS-55819 Won't turn on

If F9A04 and F9A05 are open the convergence ICs will need to be replaced as well as the two pico fuses. You will need two STK392-570 Convergence ICs and two 5 amp pico fuses. You ca get the replacement parts at the following link with free installation instructions. heres thelink.

Cant tune red bulb

Check pico fuses F9A04 and F9A05 if either one of those picos are open it means the convergence Ics are bad along with the picos. Your set uses two STK392-570 ICs and the two picos are both 5amp picos. You can get replacement parts and installation instructions at the following link.

Green indicator light flicks about 3-5 times

The power supply has likely detected a short circuit. Hold the front panel INPUT and MENU buttons down for 5 seconds then read the code from the green light. If the light flashes a 2-2 code (2 flashes, followed by a 1/2 second pause, followed by 2 flashes) then pico fuses are blown. A 1-2 code indicates that nothing is wrong. The likely cause for blown pico fuses (FA904 & FA905) is a bad convergence driver IC. The PC board must be resoldered to replace the ICs and fuses.

Won't power up.

Check the center board for two green 5amp Pico fuses F9A04 and F9A05 if those two picos are blow, replace both STK392-570 convergence ICs on that same board and the set will be repaired. Fuse F9A05 will read open in circuit but F9a04 wont so its best to lift one side of those two pico fuses out of circuit to check them. (* % of the time a 22 code in that chassis its the ICs having shorted and it will blow those two picos. You can get replacement parts at the following link.
