Is there a manual for installing new drive belts on my LG Kompressor - we've had it for less than a month and the belt broke. I ordered 2 replacement belts and the new one doesn't work and the brush won't...

You've probably figured this out, but my luv200R had the same problem. The belt broke, I changed it and it still didn't spin the brushes. Turned out, the roller has bearings on either end and one of the bearings was bad and wasn't letting roller roll. So the pulley would spin against the belt and heat up and break it again. I took the bad roller to Sears where they had a new one sent to my house free of charge since it was less than a year old.

I changing the belt

Hi,

Not sure why you claim clutch belts cant be changed because they can.
The DC04 DC07 DC14 all use the same clutch unit if you cant get the belts from your local vac repair shop look on Ebay they are on there.
The special tools are torx screwdrivers & if replacing both belts you will require circlip pliers.

How to replace both belts in manual form can be found here http://dysonmanuals.llc.nu/index.htm

Instructions on changing a belt on an Elite Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Model # v5075-930 Serial # 089500053577
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Knowing the brand name and model number for the vacuum but I can give you a generic way of changing the belt. You 1st need to remove the bottom plate by screws, levers or clips, then you can get @ the belt, if not then you should remove the top cover and then you can get @ the belt. 1st remove the belt from the brushroll and install the new belt on the pulley side of the brushroll and then use a belt puller or a screwdriver with a bend on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and then track the belt in a straight line so that is running in a straight line. Replace the bottom plate and the belt change should be done. Please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Normally there are 2 to 4 screws or clips, levers on the bottom of the vacuum, and then you can remove the bottom plate or top cover and then you can get @ the belt to change it. Unfortunately, I do not know the brand name and model& serial 3 in order to tell you the exact method for the belt change. You can check with your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or contact the vacuum factory tech support line. Such as: Example….

My husband changed the belt on our vacuum, now the metal frame doesn't fit back on the bottom. Also, there is a small metal clip that we don't know where it belongs.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. You should check on the owner’s manual to see how it goes together or call the Simplicity customer service line listed below to see what goes where.
