LG 55LH40 55 in. HDTV LCD TV...After 20-30 minutes the screen turns pastel colors with horizontal lines and blurred or shadowed picture from top to bottom. Picture is gray instead of black with horizontal lines with power only, no other cables connected.
There are some semiconductors or capacitors that are leaky. Might need thorough check up inside the TV.

This sounds like the power supply that feeds your back-light is going out. This repair should be done by a qualified technician

Find someone in an area that the Company will ship to and send them the money to get the replacement board. then give them the shipping address and have them send it to you . I would be willing to help if all it will cost me is the time. You would have to take care of the E-Bay Bill and The shipping costs from my location to yours.

If the whole screen is just white light, the the LCD controller (t-con) board may have gone out. Your TV can have more than one version of the boards inside.

Does anyone have schematic's for this unit? Quick search failed. I have a backgorund in component level board repair / troubleshooting... Would be great if anyone could provide additional info regarding what pcb to start with. This LG was installed 17 months ago with a Cyberpower UPS which includes surge protection for coax cable. Any / all help is greatly appreciated!
