SOURCE: Magnum Force Jacuzzi Pump stopped working

No serviced by pool technician. But you can look in your breaker box for a popped breaker, it should be 20 amp and be positioned in the middle instead of on or off position. Kirk

Loosen the motor and impeller from the pump by backing off the large plastic nut and take that whole section to an electric motor repair shop for inspection. If the motor is salvagable, they can quote the repair or replacement.

SOURCE: We are having issues getting the impeller apart on

I believe the jacuzzi pump impeller has a locking screw directly in the middle of the impeller. You'll have to turn it clockwise to remove it. Then you'll need to remove the cover from the back of the motor using a 1/4" nut driver. Depending on the motor, you should be able to use a 7/16" open end wrench to hold the motor shaft from turning as you turn the impeller counter-clockwise to remove it. Some motors are different, some have a keyed shaft or require a special tool to hold the shaft while the impeller is removed. Hope this helps.

The jacuzzi magnum force pump can it be used for a fish pond

This is a lot of pump for a fish pond. You should use the safe-guards as you would find in a pool, two drain's separated by 3 or so feet and/or a couple skimmers. You dont want the fish getting pulled into the drains/skimmers. It will also be a lot of $ to run the pump compared to a smaller 'fish pond' pump ... of course your pond may be much larger than the average garden variety.

Personally, I dont think this is a good idea for a small pond. Tell me more about your pond.

How to change the seals on a jacuzzi magnun force 1 hp pool pump

Hi,
If you haven't already figured out how to change the seals on your Jacuzzi Magnum Force pump, I can help by supplying a diagram.
Here is the parts explosion for that pump.
Start by removing the case/basket assembly, then the diffuser to get to the impeller. Loosen the impeller to get to the seal plate.
When going to the trouble of changing the shaft seals one should change all the hosing seals at the same time because its a lot of work.

I do have inground pool 16 *32 10 feet deep at one end and 4 feet at front, The pump did not start at all when i started it. Since the pump is an old pump above 15 years old I decided I would buy a new...

I'd suggest the 1.5 HP Hayward Super Pump, model SP2610X15. It's layout makes fitting it into the footprint of the Jacuzzi easier since it's ports roughly line up and are smaller in spread than the jacuzzi. Any pump will require some monor replumbing; the Haywards should be the least intrusive.

Another good choice would be the Pentair Whisperflow in a 1.5HP with or without the variable spped features.

I have an 11 year old Jacuzzi Magnum Force 1227 pool pump model 15UMFS. I want to replace it, but don't know how many horsepower it is. Can you tell me?

Probably 1.5 HP but if you can read any of the nameplate data on the motor it would be helpful to confirm. A better approach might be to size the new pump to the volume of water in the pool.

If all you are going to replace is the pumps motor then can you provide at least the amp ratings off the motor? Those should help verify what your old unit's horsepower really is.

Jacuzzi hot tub pump. Put new pump and motor in water wont circulate but can here pump running.

Check your suction plumbing to be sure it is sealed and tight. Then force some water through the pipe to see if anything is blocking it.

I HAVE A MAGNUM FORCE PUMP. iT WAS RUNNING THIS

It could be the capacitor again, but most likely if it stopped while running, its not that, unless you had a brief power failure. The motor may have a built in thermal overload which turned the pump off. If it only humms then it could either be locked up by something in the impller, or could be the bearings in the motor have failed. If the motor doesn't smell "burnt" then you might stand a change to disassemble the pump. Disassemble the motor and replace bearings. Replace the mechanical seal while you have it apart. OR you could buy a new motor, as it is 10 years old.

Motor removal on a Jacuzzi magnum force pump.

The impeller is threaded onto the end of the motor shaft and the housing (pump body) is attached to the motor with the same bolts that hold the rear cover on the motor they run all the way through on most pumps.
