2007 Yamaha 115 Hp 2 stroke idle problem

Won't idle without shutting off. Accelerates great, runs great at every throttle setting except idle. Even slow running as long as I have throttle applied - even a little. Hard to crank without choking and pumping the throttle even when warm. It actually won't crank unless I use the manual choke. I can still hear the solenoid making a sound when I depress the ignition key in to start it but it won't crank unless I manually choke it and won't idle unless I open the manual choke as it's trying to cut off. I pull the manual choke out until the engine starts to stumble and then push it back in. That works for about 1 minute or less. If I let it shut off, I have to wait for a few minutes before it will crank again no matter what I do.

This is NOT a motorcycle. It's an outboard motor.

SOURCE: Yamaha TW 200 starts but won't run.

If the bike has sat for a long period of time without being run - the gas that is sitting in the carb(s) will shellac.. Then the carb(s) would need to be cleaned and "rebuilt"..

SOURCE: 1982 Yamaha Maxim 650 Has

These bikes need the carbs ajdusted rather frequently, once they get out of adjustment the they juste don'e idle good. Also as old as this one is I can guess that you may have some air leaking around your some of the gaskets and this is why after it warms up it runs better, the gaskets get heated and the swell a little and then start sealing better. It would do you good this winter if you replaced all your intake and carb gaskets and get the carbs adjusted by a trained technicianan you will be ready to roll when summer comes around.

SOURCE: hi have a 1984 evinrude 35 hp model no E35RLCRR that wont start

But if things are not hooked up right. My Electrical rule #6. If the problem does not make sense, check and clean all grounds. Also "won't start" is too vague. Will not crank or cranks but will not fire are two different directions. As far as the choke butterfly closing, it sounds like you have the choke wire on the start post. Review your connections with factory diagram.

Yamaha 40 outboard stuck at full throttle won't idle

Sounds like accelerator butterflies are stuck, you probably need a good mechanic to sort this one out.try operate accelerator linkage on carburettors by hand but do not force, take off black air cleaner and spray penetrating oil onto butterfly shafts

Have 115 Hp mercury outboard motor missing at full throttle and on idle. At mid throttle it is running fine. Any Idea what the problem could be. Thanks, Milton

Have your spark plugs changed AND carbs cleaned and adjusted.
Usually that can also be caused by a seized advance system ( plate under the flywheel, commanded to turn with the throttle linkage... )

1992 115 hp V4 2 stroke had carbs done last year ran great all summer but this spring (as the fish are in the river) it will not Idle. It will run great at high RPM's

The carbs on 2 strokes are always needing a little adjusting, either your plugs are somewhat foulded, carbs gummed up from setting, restriction in fuel delivery, linkage could also be biding slightly. These are the general issues, any more would require a tech to get hands on and test them. But if your savy enough to adjust the carbs, just bump the idle up a tad after you check everything out. I am guessing that this may clear up on its own, but may need a bump.
