Lid is stuck shut on my senseo

I just had this same problem. The seal is stuck and might have coffee jammed in it. I unplugged it. Then I pushed down on the lid and pulled up at the same time. It opened for me. I hope this helps.

The Phillips electronics web site says that pod tube is plugged and now a vacuum has been set up preventing you from opening. It says "unplug it; leave it at room temperature for 24 hours or longer and then try to open. It states you may have to apply a lot of force to get it open. I had a same problem, but I managed it open without waiting 24 hours by turning and slightly pulling a small plug behind the water tank on the back side. (see the photo attached) I think it will let air goes in and release the vacuum seal. After I could open the lid, I turn the plug back and push it in as it was. Now, my Senseo is running perfectly again.

I have no solution ive tried everything but nothing is working HELP

Place machine upside down in a bowl with about 2 inches (50cm) of hot water. Normal tap water temperature should do. Wait a few minutes then pull the lever. Hopefully the lid will open, mine did.

I just had the same problem and fix it.
Here what i did :
i sucked the water tunnel on the back side of the machine. ( you will unplug the plastic thing just by the hand)
P.S : watch out the water sucked may be a little bit hot , so it’s better to wait a little bit after the water get cold.
