Printer engine communication error
Erroneous communication between the DC controller PCB and image processor PCB was detected.
- Check the connectors of the DC controller PCB and image processor PCB.
Replace the DC controller PCB for normal connection. - Replace the image processor PCB.

1. Check the Laser Scanner Unit connector.
2. Replace the Laser Scanner Unit.
3. Replace the DC Controller PCB (PCB1).

Error in DDI-S communication Remedy 1. Check the connector connecting to the Scanner. 2. Check the power of the Scanner ->whether to perform initialization at start-up? 3. Replace the Rcon, the Scanner Board or the Main controller PCB 2.

Check to be sure none of the prongs have been bent over in the scanner and/or terminal

Restart the PC and the scanner and try again. Make sure you installed the right drivers, make sure that the PC see's the scanner, check devise MGR and look under printers, interface devise.

i found this while i had the same error msg... apparently its actully the USB cable where its does not suffice

After uninstallin you need to reboot the computer and install as per procedure. this should help.

Go to this link and type "cannot communicate with scanner" in the search box. Click Search. Then select the "ERROR: Cannot communicate with scanner" link. You will see several things to try to correct your problem. Usually, this error shows up if there is another USB device connected which prevents the computer from "seeing" the scanner, even though it can print without problem. So do try to disconnect any other USB device (except mouse or keyboard) and reboot the system.

error code communication error the scanner is not communicating with the cradle. It is important that the synapse cable is plugged into the cradle before the cradle power suply is pluged into a outlet. also could be the scanner did not pair up with the cradle correctly try rescanning the barcode on the cradle.
