Laptop wont boot up, black screen, has power

You didn't post the Make, Model of Laptop or the OS you are using. I'll use a Win 7 solution. Boot the Laptop, open the Control Panel, select Power Options, set to High Performance, select Change Plan Settings, set SLEEP to Never, select Change Advanced Power settings, go through the settings , set SLEEP and Hibernate to Never, Power buttons and Lid to shut down. Always shut down and unplug your laptop when not in use to prevent damage from power surges and possible Fire hazard IF the battery malfunctions. A reboot every day will reset the computer.

Ceiling fan remote control doesn't work

Sounds like you have an add-on remote. Try changing the frequency in the receiver & transmitter. If that doesn't work you probably need a new receiver.

Changed batteries, now won't control power

It is possible you are using the wrong type of battery. A lot of electronics require you to use either Lithium-Ion or less powerful ones. I had this happen once by putting in batteries that were the right size, but were meant for more powerful devices. If you have a cheap set of the right size batteries laying around that are a different type, try those.

92 wrangler wont start

Jiggle the wire connectors going in to the computer under the hood -- first check battery cables/terminal connections at battery -- beleive it or not, connection could SEEM good because you get crank & lights, but if it's faulty, loose, engine won't start - computer requires good solid voltage flow.. next check a fusible link very close to the battery off of the positive cable. check fusible link carefully. this could cause your problem for sure.

If remote control functions proeerly, the front panesl switches to be suspected. If any one mong the microswitches inside got strucked, all functions will be distrubed. it will be best to follow any more after replacing these microswitches. These switches can be located just behind the control panel of the tv, soldered diretly to a printed circuit board. You have to replace all of the at the same time. Just undolder one amoung them as as sample, when you go to buy for a new one.
If this also does not help you, repalce its memory IC. This IC can be located very near to the main system control IC, will have 8 solder terminals. A very small IC and wont cost more. Eventhough it is very small, function of it when the set works is great. Replace it. When you buy this IC, make a keen look on it number. It is very important when replacing this IC. All these components stated above, can be bought from most of the electronic spare part selling shops st your town. OK.

I cant use my controler because the green part keeps bliking and wont turn on so i cant play my xbox 360

I had this exact same issue the other day. Changing the batteries did not work for me, but don't cross that off of the list quite yet. This worked for me:
1.) Pop the battery pack off of the controller. This is the only way you're going to be able to turn it off. Wait about 5 seconds and put the battery pack back into the controller.
2.) Turn on your X-Box with the power button ON THE CONSOLE. It should turn ON. If it doesn't, unplug the X-Box for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and try again.
3.) When your X-Box turns on, go ahead and hit the controller's power button. Things should function normally from this point forward.
Please let me know if this works for you!

My TV remote control has stopped working. I've tried changing the batteries but it still doesn't work. Any tips or do I have to get a new one?

Check for rusted battery contacts due to leaked batteries. Clean them with polish paper or blade. Due to leaked batteries it is quite likely that the wires connecting remote control pcb & battery contacts are cut off.
