SOURCE: chainsaw 34cc 350mm bar polun, tha adjusting

Did the cover crack? The adjusting screw is just a common metric screw; the nut has a special tang that engages one of the 2 large holes at the drive end of the bar. When reinstalling the bar and chain, the adjustment screw must be backed off a few turns so the the tang will readily drop into it's hole in the bar. Install the cover (new if old one cracked) and turn the nut(s) down finger tight. Turn the adjuster CW to tighten the chain so that the chain doesn't droop from the bar, but turns freely by hand. Tighten the cover nut(s) and recheck the chain again.

SOURCE: unable to locate adjustment control for chain

Not all 345 machines had an adjustable oiler, it is retro fittable if it does not, however if it hs an adjuster, the screw is located on the bottom of the saw between the cranckcase and the fuel tank, just below the sprocket, there will be an oil symbol and a - and + sign there, the pump is three position, for 13/15/18" bars.

WEN HORNET MARK II 14 inch Electric Chainsaw Model 5014. Show me how to tighten chain. When I pulled it tight now I need the adjustments to the tighten it more how do you do it?

Question edited for full 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved to Chainsaws.

If you have used up all the adjustment on the bar, you MUST buy a new chain. It has worn or stretched and is about to break.

What size file to sharpen rcs1835 chain

For a standard 3/8 inch chain pitch you would use an 11/64 round file.
There are standard cut files and smooth cut files.

A standard cut file offers the fastest removal rate per stroke and is the most widely preferred chainsaw file. The aggressive tooth pattern of the file yields maximum performance in a minimal amount of time.

a smooth cut file is recommended for those who maintain there chain on a very frequent basis. It removes less metal per stroke, which will extend the life of the chain. Because it's a finer cut file, a skilled user can achieve a sharper tooth.

You will also need a flat depth gauge file. A depth gauge file is a flat file with two round uncut edges. This allows for the correct adjustment of depth gauges, prevents gouging and preserves saw chain life.

Good luck with your saw.

Im looking for an instruction manual for a challenge xtreme 12v air compressor. i have searched google and other search engines but cant find anything. Thanks

Hello! Have you tried contacting the company where you bought your unit? If they don't have an extra copy of the instruction manual, they could photocopy of the instruction manual of the same unit brand and model existing in their display area if requested.
