WFD 2460 will not start wash cycle after it has filled with water

The machine will not start a wash cycle once the drum has filled with water, also the machine will not do a spin cycle it starts to drain the drum and clicks as if to activate drum to start spinning but doesnt and continues to drain untill you stop it.It is as if a switch isnt activating in order to start the drum motor. Any ideas would be most welcome.Cheers Mark

Isolate power and water supply and gain access to the main drum motor. Check for condition of carbon brushes by removing them and repla
ce if severely worn. Check wiring loom around motor and right back to module controller. The clicking is obviously power being supplied to motor via the loom to the motor. finally check for any dry solder joints or burnt areas on the circuit board controlling the motor.

Washing machine wont hold water on any setting

raise the main drain hose to the top of the back control head. there may be a problem with the main hose being to low and the water is gravity siphoning out of the washer.make sure the washer is off when you lift the hose up but do not remove it from the wall, you should here water drain out once it has stopped draining restart you machine and it should fill to the proper level and quit then go into your wash cycle

Inner drum of my 7 year old washer WFD 2460 rattles on spin and seems unsupported. The rubber surround is intact, is it the only means to support the drum? Thanks. J.Reeve

Hi there!

I would say it is the rear drum bearing which needs replacement. This is what supports the load of the entire drum. The seal is just a water seal.

The good news is that it's a bosch, and replacements are easily available. You are lucky to get 7 years use without problems. Cheaper models give up after 12 months!

Check online for spares under the model number, or have it replacd by a local technician. It is the main drum bearing you need.

If this assists to a solution, Please take a moment to rate as fixya! Thanks.

Bosch WFD 2460 Washig Machine

Hi, It sounds like you have the two water pipes fitting on the wrong connectors on the back of the machine.

IE: The hot water pipe (RED connector) on the cold water inlet on the back of the machine (BLUE connector)

Is should be red to red and blue to blue.
