When I hold the valet switch like am ask the led light lights up and stays on no chirping at all but if I hold the valet switch when the car is in the on position I get a chirp help someone please

REMOTE TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING
Enter:
1. Turn the Ignition 'switch ‘OFF/ON’ 3 TIMES and stay in
ON position. Within 15 seconds.
2. Push the Valet switch 2 times and hold in on the 2nd
push, when a long chirp is heard then release the valet
switch. You are now in the Transmitter programming mode.
Program:
1. Press the Lock button on transmitter 1 until the siren
responds on Car with a confirming chirp; the first
transmitter is now programmed to Car.
Exit: Turn Ignition to 'OFF' position, or leave it for 15
seconds. 3 long chirps will confirm exit.
Note: If more than 4 transmitters programmed, the system
will only keep the last four.
The Valet switch is a little Red Push Button that should be
mounted under the lower left side of you dash or in the lower
left kick panel near the E-brake pedal.

Autopage is a pretty trouble free system...but if the battery is near-dead or dead they can do evil things...swap out the battery and try again...If you can't...go to your local car stereo installation shop and ask them NICELY to help...lots of times it's free..if it is, buy the dude lunch...what, $10?

the security system will start deleting transmitters from memory in chronological order.

2. Push the Valet switch 3 times and holding in on 3rd push until a long chirp is heard then release the valet switch.
You are now in the Transmitter programming mode.
3. Press and hold any button of the transmitter until the siren responds with a confirming chirp, indicating the signal
has been stored into memory.
4. If you have additional transmitters (up to 4) that need to be programmed, repeat step 3 for each transmitter.
Exit: Turn Ignition to 'OFF' position, or leave it for 15 seconds. 3 long chirps & 3 parking
light flashes will confirm exit.

What if you don't get the confirming chirp
I don't get a chirp either? My Autopage is a rf225a ,remote xt33 .I checked the valet button after installing, it shows open when button not pushed and continuity when button is pushed. I think that's what it supposed to do? The original fob still works.
