I took off the front of the washing machine, cleaned the gasket and tightened a loose bolt and removed/cleaned residual soap from the soap tray area, and then put everything back together. All front leaks are gone, but the internal leak that took place during the rinse cycle (after about 30 minutes on a normal cycle is still there. Help! How can this mess be fixed?
LG Front Loader. We just had water pouring out of the top left where the dispenser tray goes in. After attempting to scrub the top of the dispenser housing as suggested below (it was nasty and a great suggestion) we plugged back in and tried again. Water POURED out and we stopped again. I took the top off and the main water inlet into the dispenser had popped off the dispenser so it was an open faucet aiming towards the front of the washer. There are four hoses there held by pinch clamps. Didn't appear to be any splitting on the hose that popped off, prob worked it's way off over many years. I cleaned it with alcohol and reattached. Seems pretty sturdy but I prob won't trust it for the long haul.
The hose from the soap drawer to the tub may be split. These hose have flexible ridges and its common for them to split inside one of the ridges.

you need to clean above where the drawer goes in, the water jet holes get blocked and spray sidewards. also you can reduce the water pressure at the supply tap to a fast trickle this will avoid jets of water flowing over and forward of the tray.

We had the same problem- for us it was because we were mixing laundry booster (Oxyclean) with liquid soap in the dispenser. It seems the water running through the tray had insufficient pressure to properly flush the tray out, so residue accumulated on the back & underside of the tray. Our water pressure is good here, and we don't use a water softener or filters that can reduce the pressure. Unfortunately it seems to just be a bad design of the soap dispenser tray.
We also had a problem with water/bleach leaking from our soap dispenser- when we used the bleach compartment in the dispenser we got leaks dripping onto the floor from behind the front cover of the washing machine. It was running down the front of the washer behind the front cover & coming out onto the floor. The repair guy said this was because the dispenser tray was pulled out too far, but the reason we were pulling the soap tray out so far was because the bleach compartment was too far back in the tray to use if we didn't. Now we just leave the drawer partially closed & pour the bleach directly into the soap compartment along with the soap.

Here is the answer !!! My LG front loader has leaked once a year for the past 4 years. The rubber bellows (a part underneath the washer) cracks and causes the leak. DO NOT LET THEM TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE USING TOO MUCH DETERGENT ... THAT JUST AN EXCUSE !!! The part costs around $12. Here's the link ...

Not sure if this machine is similar to the WM2277, but here is the procedure for that - my leak was in the "baffels" hose that connects the drum to the drain pump:
1. Drain the machine - pry the panel at the front left lower corner to get access to a stoppered tube. drain as much water from here as possible.
2. Remove screw visible inside this area and remove the white molded plastic - also remove the screw behind that plastic.
3. Open the washer door and remove the spring loaded wire around the door gasket. Carefully pull the door gasket away from the panel push inside and then reclose the door.
4. Remove the detergent drawer and the two screws visible behind it.
5. Pull the top of the electronics panel away from the machine and lift up - place on top of machine or hook it out of the way
6 Remove the 4 screws that are visible holding the front panel to the machine. Left the entire front panel up about 2 inches and swing to the right (there is a wire connecting the door to the machine on the right)

how do i replace the door seal on my intello LG washer the old one is torn
I have had this happen. I have taken the dispenser tray out and cleaned the area where the water and the detergent will flow into the washer at. This area had gotten some gunk build up, once I cleaned it, it has not leaked since. Now I just routinely look at this and make sure that it is clean. Hope this helps you.
