Ghost / Overlapping Image
My TV has developed a ghost image or two overlapping images about 2 inches apart on the screen. It almost appears as if there are two images projected on the screen which are supposed to be aligned together, but are off.
It happened just all of sudden. The TV is Samsung LED (series 7) 55 inch, was purchased in December 2009
The Service Center of Samsung informed me that the whole screen need to be replaced costing almost the price of a brand new one which is non since. Please help!!
the two images are identical with normal color. it's just like when you put another trasparent copy of the image on top of the original with two inches gab to the bottom. hope this makes it clearer for technical analysis and solution.the two images are identical with normal color. it's just like when you put another trasparent copy of the image on top of the original with two inches gab to the bottom. hope this makes it clearer for technical analysis and solution.

Sounds like you have image retention better known as burn in. If this is the case then you need a new light engine. Which means if you can't live the bad screen buy a new tv. Light engine cost a lot of money to replace.
It sounds like something causing the print head to **** e.g. lack of lubrication on the track, missing teeth form the drive belt etc. Use MS Word (or something) to draw a black, magenta, cyan and yellow square, then drag the four squares so they completely overlap. Then lift up the printer top cover and print it. Watch the print head and see if you can identify the cause of the misalignment. Let me know what happens, or if you don't quite understand what I'm asking, come back at me.
you will need to replace 2 stk ic [ parts ] after that the technician will have to realign the picture, sometime also some resistors get bad along with one or 2 fuses
when you leave your TV (no matter what kind) and you leave it for long periods of time on a static image or something.. the image tends to burn in to the screen... so changing the glass would be a way to fix it.... the problem is that that kind of repairmen is more expensive and difficult than buying a new set...
sounds like the high voltage transformer arc or one of the picture tubes arc causing the convergance ic to go bad you can try to replace the IC heres a site to help: http://home.earthlink.net/~oleg.filippov/ConvergenceFix.htm
