First step is to take the gas cap off and tip the mower to pour the old gas out. Leave the cap off for awhile and let the rest of the gas evaporate. After you have handled this, pull out the spark plug and pull the started a few times. This will push whatever gas is left in the carb and lines into the cylinder where it can evaporate or spill out of the spark plug hole.

Put a pan under machine to catch the oil. Take the drain plug out, drain oil, put drain plug back in, tighten it, and put machine back on all four wheels. Add oil. Take about 3/4 quarters of a quart. SAE 30 or 10w-30.
