No picture from my video to my pc.why wont the maxim grabber work i get the stage where i wont to watch the video on my pc but no picture is comeing through.

ur windows filels has been corrpated becose of that ur pc has been not load it if u have a imporatat data in your laptop then u need a live cd of xp to copy your data in your pandarive or usb hard disk then aafter u have to fromat it & reinstall your windows xp

i prefer u that u should install real player11 on ur laptop ......
n download ny videos that running on enternet...
real player is d best player for playin n download u tube videos or nu other videos.....

This issue is related to some program that was installed on your computer or some hardware issue.
On the black screen select SAFE MODE

Then check there the possible issues.
Uninstall the last program
Be sure the computer is not virus or spyware infected.

Then restart on normal mode.

If the problem still there, you will have to

insert your windows XP CD and run a recovery console to fix that.
During the installation select (R)

I think you are missing the dvd video codec required by windows media player to play dvds. You could do a search on the net for the missing codec or copy and paste the link below then install ffdshow. This includes codecs for other audio and video filetypes. Always check for viruses and spyware when downloading anything from the net.
