Kenmore washer spin cycle doesn't leave clothes dry

I have a kenmore top loading washer that is about 10 years old. I find that many times, but not all times,  the spin cycle is leaving the clothes somewhat wet. It drains and spins but not enough to get all the water out of the clothes. If I run the spin cycle again, then the clothes will be much dryer. any ideas about what is wrong?

Have a kenmore washer and I have to run everything thru 2 spins cycle

If the washer doesn't reach its proper spin speed, the clothes may be too wet at the end of a cycle. Check to be sure the load is properly balanced and run a spin cycle again. If the clothes are still wet, you may have a worn clutch.

When my washer is on the spin cycle it goes out of balence shuts down no matter wht size load or how i arange the load never completes the spin cycle this is a kenmore elite oasis 5 years old. #2 problem...

as for the washer there maybe a broken spring or where the spring attaches that balances the drum. look for this firest. for the dryer is it spinning around at the right speed if it is then the belt is ok. is it hot inside the dryer after running it when you open the door. if ti is check the dryer vent hose and exterior door at end of hose to see it they are plugged up . if the hose is plugged up the heat and moisture can't excape and the clothes will take a long time to dry.
