    Hi,
You will need to be a little bit more specific in what your problem is. You say "data recovery". Do you need help recovering data, do you mean you need help using or finding the data recovery disc software that should of come with the machine? etc, etc :-).

    Thanks

Ok :-)

You have several options available. You could first try phoning Acer's Customer Support Line & See if they can supply you with a Recovery Disc for your Model Of Notebook.

Secondly, if you get no luck from Acer (or they say the Recovery Disc will cost you!) then if you are familiar with downloading Torrent Files, you can download a Universal Windows Vista Recovery Disc

However, this may not include drivers for your Machine, so you will need to also download the following Drivers :

Acer ePower v2.5.4024
RealTek Audio Driver v6.0.1.5413
CIR Driver v1.3.1
Synaptics TouchPad Driver v9.1.16.0
ALPS TouchPad Driver v7.0.1101.4
Foxconn Modem Driver v7.62.0.0
Atheros 802.11b+g Wireless Lan Driver v7.2.0.215
Broadcom 802.11b+g Wireless Lan Driver v4.102.28.4
BlueTooth Driver v5.1.2535.0
BlueTooth Utility v6.0.1.4900
Intel 802.11a+b+g/b+g/a+g+n Wireless Lan Driver v11.1.0.86
Card Reader Drivers
Bison Camera Driver v7.32.701.4
Acer Oribcam Utility Bar(Bison) v2.0.0.7
Suyin Camera Driver v5.7.26.500
Broadcom Giga LAN Driver v10.9.0.0
Acer Orbicam Utility Bar (Suyin) v1.0.8
ENE MIR Driver v1.3.306.0
Avermedia TV tuner Driver v1.1.0.11
Launch Manager v2.0.01
Intel Chipset Driver v8.2.0.1014
Intel Storage Manager Driver v7.5.0.1017
Intel VGA Driver v7.14.10.1244
ATI VGA Driver v8.371.1.0
Acer Arcade Deluxe v1.13.4806

The Above can be downloaded from the Acer Driver Download Page

If you need further help with downloading Torrent Files, then let me know and I'll gladly help you out :-).

Hi, when iturnon my laptop (acer aspire 7720 17')

Its better to send the laptop to the manufacturer for a repair as we find it as a genuine issue with either the board or with the monitor. There could be no issue with the OS and looks like its a genuine hardware problem. Good Luck.

I have an ACER ASPIRE 7720 with Vista. On starting the computer I get a message saying "launch start up repair" which tells me I need a Vista Driver CD Recovery Disc. I don't have one nor did it come with...

Hello,

Nowadays the computer comes with the Recovery Disks inside on the Hard Drive for you to Burn on disks. The options changes from manufacturer to manufacturer, but try to bootup in safe mode with F8 key and search on start menu for tools related to the manufacturer computer (ex. On some HP is START | PC Tools).

Check when the computer is booting for options of recovery before windows starts.

Beware, in most cases you can Burn the disk once.

7720 will not boot

off course it is repairable dont worry look try to install OS thru the following procedure to factory default state

Acer: When you first turn on the laptop and see the Acer logo screen, hold the ALT key and press the F10 key (you need to do this before the Acer logo disappears).

if it installs the OS ok then fine if not

pls consider changing RAM take out from beneath the laptop open the cover all screws and take out the L shaped panel then u will see the RAM in front with 2 chips one uper and one lower side try to take out both and then re fit only one in the upper slot and then try to install if hangs again , then try the 2nd chip in the first slot and repeat the procedure if it works ok only try both chips one by one if it resolves ur issue and u find the faulty one replace it with new one with sam specs

in the last case if ur system still hangs then my friend ur hard disk is giving u hard time it needs replacement

when a system boots after bios loading all that is trf from Hdisk to RAM and then OS is loaded if one have problem system will hang or freeze try these solutions and then tell me the results

pls go step by step

and pls rate me fixya if i fixed ur problem

kindly let me know abt it and tell me in detail the messages u get and the system behaviour

Vista to xp

You should first try acer's site, assuming that they actually created the drivers. I tried once to do the same but some of the hardware's drivers proved to be useless... It is best if you find the drivers at the acer site, as it is much more reliable than other places in the net...
