Hello I just got an chinese clone iphone from my aunty and it wont turn on... apparently it worked when she first got it but it has been inactive for a few months... no battery charging sign has appeared on the screen like the manual says it would...and my macbook is not picking it up via usb... is it dead now?

it is a cheap knock off!! it wont work with itunes at all, you can barely play music, pictures are **** from the camera, you cant install proper apps like google maps, the internet rarely works actually never works,
java baerly works with it and it dosent even have a proper touchscreen you have to use a stylus.
you might see them on ebay or whatever for like 50 euros dollars whatever but they will drive you mad!!

Did you try removing and reinstalling the smart card (if it has one) and the battery? Sometimes that will help.
