Well it all depends on what bios it is. If it is an pheonix bios or AMI bios then the 1-3-3-1 code stands for dram failure
If its an ibm bios it is a vga problem
if its a award bios it is a ram problem.
Easiest thing to check is your memory. Most of the time on laptops the memory gets jostled loose and you have to re seat it.
Should be a removeable panel on the back, just pop it off and you will see the memory. Pull it out of its seat, then reseat it then try rebooting.
Hope this helped
The beeping you describe indicates Graphic gone bad. To make sure that it is a graphic issue, remove the memory and observe the beeping differ. If beeping differ it is make surely a graphic problem and need a new graphic Card. But if the beeping is still the same after removing a memory then it is defective memory!
Best Luck!
The laptop is not recognizing your extended RAM. Try removing one of your RAM sticks and restarting it. Replace and remove the other and restart it again. If it works with only one module installed, then those two cannot run together. If it will not work and you have only one in there then the RAM is bad.
