SOURCE: can't remove beater kmix from machine. it's stuck!kenwood

Here's how to fix the stuck implement problem:

The implements each have adjustable heights. to adjust the height you need to loosen the bolt at the top with a 14mm spanner. If the bolt was loose when it was being used then it can get too short and not leave enough clearance between the bolt and the machine in order to push up and turn to release the implement. If this happens take the open ended spanner, grasp the implement and rotate the spanner clockwise (when looking up at the machine from below. Once the nut is loose rotate the implement until there is enough clearance to remove it normally.

BHG stand mixer: motor runs but beater does not turn anymore. Can I take it apart and replace something to get it to run again and how do I get to the part that needs replacing?

the part that has failed and intensionally so, is a 'shear pin'. The is a mild steel pin that breaks if the beater gets jammed or strained. They are put into a cog that slips over a shaft. You just have to strip down the planetary head or the main power shaft and find it. A KitchenAid part will fit it.

Kenwood chef repairs team my mixer motor works but beaters won't rotate

We are FIXYA dot com, we aren't Kenwood Chef, we aren't who you think we are.

There can be two reasons for a Kenwood Chef to run but not turn the beaters. The most likely one is that the Drive belt has broken.

Or

You have strained the beaters and you have sheared the shear pin in the drive shaft. It is there to save you damaging the motor and gearbox.

Take the top cover off

Professional 600 575 watts 6 qt. beater stem is loose and lets beater drop onto bowl.

b68be83b-c0cb-45d6-8d74-337f1cf098bd.jpgThe part you see is called the planetary, it has two shafts, the long one is called the center shaft and if it is falling off you need a new planetary, the second shaft (shorter) is called the agitator shaft (the beater attaches to it, if this is the culprit then1 you are not attaching the beater correctly2 the locking pin that the beater attaches to to hold it in place is missing3 you have way too much "gunk" build up on the agitator shaft and the beater is not attaching correctly4 if the beater falls into the bowl with the agitator shaft still attached you have three additional problems a) the snap ring a top the agitator shaft has broken off or come off which in turn means that
b) the gear at the top of the shaft has come off and may very well been knocked around and possibly damaged beyond future use which means that you will need a new one and also
c) the shaft pin that holds the agitator gear in place has come out or been broken also
the fix is easy and your parts cost $ will be from $30.00 to $80.00 dollars depending on which parts you need. Now before you get palpitations, cost are listed as a possible need
1 new planetary $30.00, you may not need
2 new agitator shaft and gear assembly $27.00, pretty sure that you need but maybe not
3 new gasket $6.00
4 new gear grease $6.00 KA says 2 oz. (don't buy a 2lb (26.00 bucks) can when you only need 2 oz).

Without more clarity or a picture I can't help further. but before you start tearing you machine apart go to the KA website and get a parts list for your mixer

Hook stuck in kenwood major; impossible to get it out

Force it out carefully. One person wrap tea towel over hook and turn forcefully, anticlockwise. Secnd person use a long handle screwdriver to hold the Kenwood still - wedge between the housing where the hook inserts. Hold Kenwood still whilst twisting the hook. When it comes apart, clean 'hole' and hook shaft thoroughly with WD40 / oil. Might need new hook if too damaged. Ours is ok seemingly.

My detachable draft shaft burned by my stove where can i buy a other one

I think your talking about the beater shaft. I can not relate to the draft shaft and I have been around a long time. This site has loads of KM800 parts in the UK. FYI Delonghi bought out Kenwood and getting parts in the US is through Delonghi. Their phone service takes forever!!!!

Try browsing this site:
http://www.4kenwood.co.uk/cgi-bin/catalogue.pl?pg=17&section=345619&path=345550,345619

There are 260 items for the Kenwood KM800 there

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

K-beater is stuck on our Kenwood Chef and we can't remove it

I couldn't remove the K-Beater as when I tried to turn it the whole mechanism turned with it. I couldn't even remove the splashguard! I was going to take it to the Kenwood factory (a few miles from home) but then I thought I'd give it one more go and this is what I did...
  1. Next to where the K-Beater attaches in the middle of the circular plate is a lug with a pointed-shape bolt on the end. Remove this with a spanner and the beater plus gear cog can be removed.
  2. Place some mole grips or wide pliers on a worktop and sit the cogged gear in to it and grip so that it won't turn.
  3. Now you should be able to remove the K-Beater!
Perhaps someone can suggest how to stop it happening again. I haven't attached anything since but will update this post if I have any other helpful tips.

New Kenwood chef km 001 - I can't get the beaters out!

Try turning the beater in the reverse direction to the direction it normally turns - clockwise looking at the beater (I think), this should make the shaft pins ride up on some cams which should release the beater.

Hi,

I don´t think you can get a new one, you have to replace the gearbox on the machine.
