Unfortunately you cannot "unregister" registered RAM. The RAM you referenced has two technologies which are normally incompatible with desktop motherboards. It has ECC and a registration chip on it. While there are some desktop motherboards which are capable of utilizing ECC RAM, Registration is designed for servers and workstations requiring the utmost in reliability.

Maximum Amount for EACH ram memory slot is 1GB.

IF, you only have ONE ram memory module ('Stick'), it goes in Slot 1. (DIMM 1)
That is the ram memory slot closest to the processor socket.
The Processor reads ram memory Slot 1 first.

How to add memory? what is the proper memory?

Here is the stats on your bored

Memory Memory Type dtrquestion.gif SDRAM Max Supported RAM dtrquestion.gif 1.5 GB

your bored takes sdram and is only upgradable to 1.5gigs total

To upgrade your bored. you will see on you bord some long slender black sockets. that should already have a stick of ram in it. You will see on the end of each one like a pin that holds it in place. Just push them down, and it should open them up. You can pull the old one out and put a new one in. Or just simply push a new stick down into it, tell those little pins snap back into place holding the stick of ram. They will only go in one way so don't force them.

if this was helpful and answered your question please mark it fixya and rate me as well as recommend me.

Dear Sir, My SDRAM were the same and it does not work although I heve changed their position. Best Regards, An.

Try the sticks of RAM, one at a time:

* stick 1 in slot 1
* stick 1 in slot 2
* stick 1 in slot 3
* stick 1 in slot 4

* stick 2 in slot 1
* stick 2 in slot 2
* stick 2 in slot 3
* stick 2 in slot 4

to find something that works.

My supermicro mother board can not pick this type of SDRAM PC133U-333-542, meanwhile the memory slot is SDRAM

You are using the wrong memory.
A SuperMicro 370DLE only supports registered memory.
The U in the code shows that the memory you have installed is unregistered.
It will not work.
Exchange the memory for registered memory ,and the system should work fine.

ive found the best prices at tigerdirect.com and they ship it right to your door. make sure the tiger ppl have the exact match and dont replace your order with more expensive replacements as some of these substitutions require voltages that your motherboard CAN NOT produce and will not work.. you also want to make sure to buy low density ram, it performs better, is a few bucks more than high density, but worth EVERY penny. E-bay is notorious for selling cheap high density ram on thier site.
If you stick to the list above, you shouldnt have any issues.
This should fixya up! please rate...
