Each time out T700 dryer drum rotates, there's a fairly lound thump. It's definitely a drum issue, as I can watch the drum & it thumps exactly the same time each rotation. If we need a new belt, is that something a DYI'er could do? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Usually whin you get one thump (or a quick double thump) you have a dent in the roller surface of the drum itself. Easiest way to check this is to unplug the unit and take the top off by removing the 3 torx screws in the rear, then lifting the top off. Once the top is off look at the very front edge of the drum as you rotate the whole thing by hand. If you see any irregularities on the surface, thats your problem. If you see nothing it could be a bad motor or roller, but its unlikely if its happening in the same place on the rotation evry time. What has usually happened with dents in the surface of the drum is that the unit was set down too hard (or dropped) and the wheels it rests on dented the metal they ride on. If thats the case the only solution is to replace the drum or live with it .Good Luck!
The drum sits on two rollers, one of them might have broken like it happened to me. just replace it.

I have the same problem. Is there help on how to replace the rollers?
Exactly the same problem. Anyone know about changing the rollers?
I have the same problem with a constant thumping on my T700. I have read the possible fixes. I will look into these and post my findings.
My thumping started off fairly quiet but regular (sort of like a unbalanced washing machine on spin cycle). But today, after two loads of drying, the thump was VERY pronounced and loud.
