My Merlin Prolift 230T garage door opener wont clear / delete remotes from memory. I bought a new remote to replace a stolen one. I can program the new remote by holding the 'learn' button for 2 sec then pressing the large green remote button once, wait, then again. The main light goes out and the remote is working well. [Start of the difference to the instructions] To program the light on/off (small remote) button I can only do it by: 1. Pressing the learn button for 2sec (as to program the door open function) - The main light flashes once and waits...(repeats). 2. Wait for 1sec 3. Press the learn button again for 2sec - The main light flashes twice and waits...(repeats). 4. Press the small remote button. (The remote now controls the light) All good but.. When I try to clear/delete the controllers from the memory by holding the learn button for 11sec nothing happens. It just flashes like I have pressed it once and eventually stops (after 30sec). I have noticed if I press the learn button 4 times the light flashes fast. (a clue to how to clear memory?) but I cannot work out how to clear the memory from this point? Can anyone help?? The main light flashing stops.
SOURCE: The power button doesn't work
I have same problem, as if the Power button is squished since it likes to shut off randomly. When I squeeze the sides of the phone to 'raise' the button of the contact point, it works again, as well as lights the keypad.
Store said hardware issue and would fix it but money better spent towards a new phone...
