SOURCE: Need the air gap between

All magnetos work best with minimal air gap. Gap it with the thinnest piece of paper/plastic that you can remove from the gap. Spin it, examine flywheel for evidence of rubbing. If it's good, start it and zoom it a couple of times, shut it down and check again.

No fire on echo pb200 leaf blower

I would check to see if the spark plug is firing first off and if it is ok check the plug wire and make sure there is no damage to it. If that is ok then you probably have a bad coil. You can use a spark plug tester and see if you are getting fire from the coil if not you will need to replace it. If you change the coil be sure to note the air gap between the coil and the flywheel then set the new one to approx. the same distance. Hope this helps.

Echo cs-3400 wont start . no spark. what are the primary and secondary coil readings?

if you have no spark

check for faulty plug 1st, then pull kill wire off at kill switch, then check for grounding ht lead ,
then pull kill wire off at armature , if still no spark most likley faulty ignition armature
i suspect the part number you need if its type 1 is 15662639130
replace it and set air gap and reassemble and test

here is web site for parts

or you could try www.partstree.com , go to echo saws , then find your model

Air cap on ignition module Echo PB-413H blower

The air-gap between the ignition coil module and the magnets of the flywheel is a close tolerance. It is adjusted to about .010"-.012". This is approximately the same as the thickness of a standard size business card. I double the cover and let the magnets on the flywheel (lined up with the coil legs) pull it in tight 9compressing the paper card) and then tighten the adjustment screws. The screws have been known to vibrate loose and the gap would be lost. You can use threadlocker on the screws (optional) or just tighten them down well. Too large an air-gap is bad, but the closer the air-gap, the stronger the spark.

Igntion coil on echo trimmer went bad, replaced with echo blower coil . there is a small difference in design but now have ignition. Engine still won't start.

Make sure the air-gap between your used blower coil module and the magnets on the Echo's flywheel is about the thickness of a regular business card. That is about .010"-.016". The gap HAS to be present in order for the module to produce the spark.

I am replacing a bad coil in my Echo SMR 2100. I need to know the air gap between the coil and the flywheel.

Ignition module gap
Place a business or index card between the fly wheel and coil, rotate until the magnetic attraction pulls everything tight together. Tighten the coil screws, rotate the flywheel until the attraction abates and remove the card. Ensure nothing contacts when the flywheel is rotated.

I need coil and spark plug gap settings for echo hc 1500 type E2 hedge trimmer.

0.026 inch, or 6-8 mm is the plug gap.

The ignition coil air gap range is 0.012 - .016"" or .3 - .4 mm. This is the gap between the flywheel and the ignition coil.

An easy way to gap your coil is use a normal business card between the coil and flywheel, tighten the screws and remove the card.
