You can not inset operating system like CD/DVD inserting! It is special kind of software that runs your computer to make an environment for you to work. First you need a Boot able Operating system cd/dvd.
This laptop normally comes with Microsoft Windows xp Media Center Edition. You may choose professional.
Now insert this disk into your laptop, boot form cd/ dvd, and start installing...After finishing installation properly , you can remove disk from your laptop and your operating system will be inside of your laptop.
If you are new you can not do this things along, Try to read manual of your laptop to select boot device to boot from cd/dvd and learn how to setup windows or other operating system you want. Let me know updates.

Boot mgr file missing

This has something to do with your operating system. You can fix this by inserting your Operating system's disc. Restart your computer after inserting the disc into your DVD drive. When you see "Press any Key to Boot to CD", then press any key.

Do a repair start up or repair computer. The missing file should be uploaded to your computer.

After fixing your computer, I suggest that you install Radarsync so that you can automates its updating mechanism which minimizes common issues in the operating system.

I hope this helps!

Missing operating system

This means some files required to boot your operating system are damaged or missing. The easiest way to fix this is to insert your windows cd or many manufacturers included a "recovery" disc to reload your operating system. Put the disc in and reboot the computer. It should say something to the affect "Press any key to boot to disc" do that and follow the prompts to re-install your OS

Dell inspiron 1440.boot mngr missing.askin to press ctrn+alt+dele. nothin happenin at all by pressing.

Hi sriyan1724,

If the Computer is displaying the "Boot MGR Missing" error message, the issue may be due to corrupted or missing Operating System files. In this case, you will need to repair the Operating System in the Computer to fix the issue.

I would suggest that you insert the Operating System installation Disc into the CD/DVD Drive, restart the Computer and the select the "Repair your Computer" option to repair the Operating System.

Please make sure that you are selecting the "Repair Your Computer" option to repair the Operating System in the Computer. Re-installing the Operating System will erase the data in the Hard Drive. Hence, double check that you are doing a "Repair".

Please let me know if you have any questions or require any further assistance.

Good Luck!

I DONT HAVE ANYONE OF THEM

If the problem states missing operating system, then you will have to purchase an OS be it Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Linux, etc..

If you already have a system recovery disk, then insert that to reinstall your operating system.

If you own a OS installation disk, insert that to install your operating system.

Please clarify further for further assistance.
