Purple printing as pink

Trying to print a poster with purple colouring on it. The purple is printing as a dark pink colour. I have a Samsung Laser colour printer CLP-300.

Thank you!

Well the cyan and pink toner were just replaced yesterday so they are both full. But I'm not sure if the printer has ever printed this shade of purple before, I just started working here not that long ago.

I printed a test sheet and the blue and purple colours turned out fine. So I guess it must be the particular colour in the clipart picture I'm using. Oh well, the poster actually looks ok with the pink. Thanks for the help!

Try making a document that has any kind of purple or that cyan blue in it. Print it and see how it prints. Sometimes a certain color in a document will never print exactly right. If the machine prints other purple and blue then it most likey is that certain color. If it doesnt print other purples or blues then you have a problem with the cyan color.

Has your printer ever printed this color? If you have control over the document you can try a slightly different purple to see how it prints that. How is your CYAN toner level? If you add cyan to pink you get purple so try replacing the cyan cartridge and see if that fixes you problem.

    Hope this helps

Why xerox phaser 6360dn is printing only pink

Anonymous, Have you tried to print the test print, is that Pink?
Have you tried too print the configuration sheet, is that Pink?
Have you tried to run purge sheets are they Pink?
If the answer is yes to all the above then has the printer been moves whilst still hot or warm, you could have mixed the colours.
If all the colours were mixed together then you would have a dark dirty Brown. Further investigation needed.
Good Luck.

Why won't my printer print purple?

Your Cannon printer is not the problem. You will get different print color depending on the paper you are using, For example you will get different print result if you print on color paper than on white paper and a different print if you print on photo paper. Another alternative is to lighten the tone of your purple. I don't know what your objective is and what project you're working on but I hope this might help.

Won't print correct colour

Try printing a test page. If it comes out missing colors, the you color cartridge is bad. HP test pages will print each of the 3 colors by them selves, so you can see if you are getting all colors. If this prints ok, the I would think it is not a printer problem.

Printer is producing too dark and purple shaded output. I believe this has to do with nozzle jet function but there is no information on how to reset the nozzles on the basis of the colour printout. It's...

Are you trying to print
1). photgraphs in colour
2). Photographs in B&W
or
2). plain text
In canon iP4000, you can do a Nozzle check by going to the maintenance.

Go to print anything from a word file or an excel file > in the print box > go to Properties> go to Maintenance.
Here you can do Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Print head Alignment and Nozzle check.

If your Nozzle check matches the check pattern(this you will find once the Nozzle Check gives a print), then it possible that either the right paper is not put in or your master could be very dark. Alternatively you could reduce the print setting to Standard...

Let me know if the above solves your problem..if not we can do some more trouble shooting.

My printer will only print in blues pinks and purple and black and white

ur printer prints in blues pinks n purple: its very simple :there r three prime colours in ur colour cartridge that forms all the other colour variation they are cyan, magenta n yellow. ur yellow colour in ur cartridge is either dried or empty thats the reason its not printing the colour variations which requires yellow. the solution is to either get ur colour cartridge refilled or replace ur colour cartridge. rate this solution as fixya n encourage us to help u solve ur problems in future too.thanks 4 using fixya.
