Cause:-
The messages database or database state are corrupt.
Resolution:-
The following steps may resolve this issue.
a) Perform a hard reset of the BlackBerry smartphone:-
1) Remove the battery cover from the back of the BlackBerry smartphone.
2) Remove the battery, and then reinsert it after a few seconds.
3) Replace the battery cover.
b) Clear all messages databases: SMS, MMS, email messages, and Phone call logs.
To clear individual databases from the BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following:-
1) Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
2) Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
3) Click Backup and Restore and then click Advanced.
4) From the list of Device Databases, select the appropriate database. For example, to clear email messages select Messages.
5) Click Clear.
6) In the Warning window, click OK.
7) Click Refresh to confirm that the database has been cleared.
c) Select the Wipe Handheld option to delete all the data from your BlackBerry smartphone.
To clear the application databases from the BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps:-
1) Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
2) Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and then type the password for the BlackBerry smartphone.
3) Double-click Backup and Restore, and then click Advanced.
4) Press and hold the Shift key while selecting all the databases in the Handheld Databases list box.
5) Click Clear.
6) Click OK on the Warning window. All application databases on the BlackBerry smartphone are erased.
