No! once a factory reset has been performed the hard drive in that has been wiped clean, now having said that it is possible to use recovery software that may be able to reconstruct some of your files. I would suggest a paid program better chance of recovery, check www.ebay.com Type recovery or hard drive recovery, also check online for more options.

SOURCE: how do i reset my toshiba laptop to factory settings?

Dear Friend,

Might sure you save all your important data before performing this recovery!. You can access to the recovery partition simply by tuning of your computer, press F10, wait for the Toshiba BIOS logo to show up and you should have access to recovery.

If F10 does not work, try to do the same steps with F8 and it would show you different option but, the one that you are looking for is Toshiba recovery wizard.

Good Luck!

DELL INSPIRON 1545

Yes, there is a chance of recovering your photos and docs, because a factory reset doesn't actually reformat the drive in a manner that completely erases all the files that were on it before the factory reset. DFSee disk partition and filesystem tool can be used for recovery in these situations, but it is a professional tool for serious power users.

Another program I've used with great success, partly because it is much more user-friendly, can be found at the following: TestDisk Download This program does not require an installation to run its recovery, only that you extract the program files using 7zip or the Windows default tool into a folder on the main HDD.

After a factory reset i have lost my picture folder. my folders wasnt backed up. can i get them back?

This depends on what procedures were used during the factory reset.
If your Hard Drive was formatted, than you lost everything. If not, then it is possible that the folder may still be somewhere on your hard drive, for example in the Temp Folder or Recycle Bin? You need to ask the person who performed the factory reset and find what procedures did he/she or they performed on your machine? While you are talking to them, ask if he/she or they could help you recover the Folder you are looking for? The Picture Folder is a default component so it should appear even after the factory reset, unless they screwed it up. Talk to the people who did this job!

Undo reset factory settings

Only if you have a backup somewhere, such as contact list on the carrier's web site, or photo, video and other files on your computer. Otherwise, there is no way to undo reset, because that's what reset does.

I reset my Toshiba laptop to factory settings and now I can not access the wireless internet.

The reset to factory setting probably did not include the drivers for the network card
Open the Deivce management pannel and look for a Yellow ! To get there clic on start , run and in that text box type devmgmt.mscand clic OK
You should see in the Network section that you have yellow ! Right Clic on them and chose update driver. and follow the instructions
If this still doesn't work you will have to get (Download) the driver from the Toshiba siteSince you did not mentionne the model of toshiba laptop you have  I can not go any further in detail
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jspAnswer the questions on that page to get to the driver requiredThe answer on Driver Type should be "LAN" (for Local Area Network)Hope this help
You should end up on apage where you will be able to see the lan drivers for your model Clicking on that file will stard the download of a ZIP compress files Roght clic on the downloaded file and chose extract to and chose a location to extract them Once extracted, return to the device management pannel and redo the update drivers but this time specify the extracted folder to update your drivers, restart the computer

Want to reset the factory settings

If the issue started happened after installing/uninstalling some driver/software, Then you can use the System Restore option offered by the Windows operating system. This will help you restore your computer's system files to an earlier point in time. It's a way to undo system changes to your computer without affecting your personal files, such as e‑mail, documents, or photos.

System Restore uses a feature called System Protection to regularly create and save restore points on your computer. These restore points contain information about registry settings and other system information that Windows uses.
