I got the new iPhone for cricket wireless today, and even though I have a phone number and it says it's on the cricket wireless network, it won't let me do anything. I can't text, access the internet, and when I try to call anything including my voicemail, it asks me if I want to make a collect call using my credit card. What's going on and how do I fix it?

Either way, going from paying $100+ to nearly half of that sounds like a rather good tactic if you want a great phone, and not pay a lot. Keep in mind is that you'll have to jailbreak the device, and install some third-party software to get things running smoothly.

You have not stated where you bought the phone. The iPhone will work on Cricket but it has to be flashed. Some - not all - Cricket retailers will flash the phone for you.

There factors you should consider.

I have ran into this same problem with 2.2 on and iPhone 3G, sadly you will need to plug your phone into your computer and do a restore of the system software, I would go to 2.2.1 when you restore.

your i phone may be asking for the password to the phone itself this is a safety feature so that nobody can make changes or access features of the phone that are restricted for anybody but the owner.so the next time it ask for a password just enter the passcode that you use for unlocking the Phone I hope this helps

PIN code and PUK code are personal. Sorry, but the only way to get PUK code or unlock the phone or get a new phone number is to contact network service provider.

Resting you iphone 5 does not enable you to get cricket service on the phone. You have to jailbreak and unlock the iphone to do so. Try H2o wireless because on the other iphones you do not have to do anything to them if its a at%t iphone.

IPhone Wi-Fi only works when it's really close to my home's router...

Home routers don't broadcast the wifi that far. Most places that have super strong signals also have what they call a wireless extender. That's an extra piece that broadcasts the signal even further.

That's the main problem though. Home wifi isn't that strong.

I want to use my cricket wireless modem with ps3

Hi,
You can connect with the PS3 2 ways >>>>>>

1, wireless, make sure that you have an internet connection first with a computer and that you know your network name and password (if you have one set up).
Go into the PS3 menu and scroll to the network config section, and set up a new network, where it says SSID this is the name of your network, for example SKY1234.
Then it will ask you for a encryption type, for example WPA or WEP and then your password, input your password and let the PS3 do the rest, if there is anything wrong it will tell you.

2, wired through an ethernet cable, again go to the network config section in the PS3's menu and set a wired connection, it will not ask you for your SSID or password as its a wired connection.

IPhone not pickign up wireless network...

You are right: the phone should default to the wireless. How do you know the iPhone is on your WIFI? Go to "settings, WIFI Networks" and see if there is an IP address assigned by your router. You can't from the icons alone.
