I was moving today-my TV was lying down on it's back in the sun for about an hour (87 degrees today). After getting to our new place, I plugged it in & the screen flickers blue, then blue with yellow/white1/2 & 1/2. I can't get to the normal blue screen or any normal picture for that matter. I've unplugged the HDMI/Cable from the TV. Otherwise, it turns on just fine-just seems like the picture is blown?

Is the HDMI port 2 work? Try to turn it off and turn it back on. If it is still not working then the HDMI ports have gone bad. You will need to replace the main board.

Hello, This seems more like an interface problem then a board issue. Which interface are you using Component Video, HDMI or , RF(F Connector)? If you are using the RF (F Connector) there might be a problem in the tuner including the RF and IF sections on the circuit board. If you are using HDMI there might be a problem in the HDMI Integrated Circuit If you are using componente video the there might be a problem in the video circuits connected to the RCA jacks of the Component video input. If I were you I would have the take the TV back to the shop and have these items checked out, because board swapping is not the proper thing to do. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

I had the same problem after having a Vizio for 2 and a half years. I
left the room for a minute, i came back and the screen went black.
There was still power to the unit and you could see that the back light
was working, just no picture, no sound, and you couldn't use any of the
buttons. The only way to turn it off was to unplug it. It would then
start up, with the Vizio logo going from orange to white, and then do
the same thing all over, no pic or sound.
HOW I FIXED MINE:Look through the back vents for a white light to make
sure the backlight still works. I ordered a new "main PCB" from
tigerdirectparts.com
(you can also use searspartsdirect.com). This is the circuit board with
all of the inputs on it (hdmi, cable, etc.) I opened it up,
disconnected the old one, put in a new one and now it works fine. I
used
both serial numbers on the board to search for it online. It cost me
$144 to do it, but that's better than $450 for a new TV. My tv is the
vx32l hdtv10a. I hope that helps.
For me the part number was either (depending on the vendor) : 0171 2272
2174 or it was 3632 0212 0150. Check your circuit and see if any of
those numbers match up.

The flickering is most likely due to a faulty fluorescent backlight. Once the bulb heats up the flickering usually goes away. Some bulbs are easier to replace than others so I would contact your local TV repair shop.

To add a little: the blue standby screen is scrambled... Large yellow flickering blocks appear, and lots of lines going every which way. I can't see anything-tried switching to diff inputs. They're all the same
